LAMENTO carries its title like a question, not an answer.

The trombone has known the lament for centuries. It has accompanied the dead, announced the apocalypse and cried out in the streets of New Orleans. We know how that sounds. This album asks what that heritage can become if you take it seriously without repeating it.

300 copies, 12“ vinyl. Also on all digital platforms.
Order via Bandcamp, link in bio.

#trombone #posaune #trombon #lowbrass #basstrombone Large dark brown letters on a warm gray background read "NOW" at the top and "ON VINYL" at the bottom. In the center, the LAMENTO record sleeve: a black-and-white multiple exposure of a man walking with a trombone, his figure repeated across the image. The title LAMENTO is printed in the lower left corner. A black vinyl record is pulled halfway out of the sleeve to the right, its center label reading LAMENTO.

Under a minute long. Barely there, and impossible to forget.

Sirató I — Hungarian for „lament“ — the first of two laments among György Kurtág’s six pieces for trombone and piano. Six miniatures that say almost nothing and mean almost everything.

From LAMENTO, out this Friday, 25 September, on simoc records.

“Sublime Fall” is out now! 🪩

Go listen to it wherever you like to get your music, it’s yours now 🐚 There’s a Dolby Atmos version on Apple Music and Tidal too, if you’re into immersive. I’m quite proud of that one 🤍

“Sublime Fall” is a chamber within the “Hidden Gem” universe. It’s a temporary world, somewhere to set down the feeling that you’re not normal, while everyone around you seems to be.

Falling isn’t failure, but a flight 🌬️

I hope to soon meet you in a physical space, where we can experience this together and connect through music. Follow for more announcements soon ✨

“Sublime Fall” out this Friday, 11.09 🪩

The opening track of Hidden Gem EP.

This was also the very first one I wrote for the EP. It just arrived, so naturally, one May afternoon in 2024. And then came the months of arranging and shaping it until I could finally present it like this.

I’m so happy and grateful for all the collaborators. I got to make it with the most epic team of creatives. If there’s one thing I’m good at, it’s surrounding myself with wildly talented people 🤍

"Ouvertüre" eröffnet die Welt von "Opera is Alive". Als sechsminütiger Prolog führt das Stück in das dreiteilige Debütalbum von @ggsoprano ein und bündelt dessen zentrale Motive zu einer musikalischen Eröffnung zwischen Oper, Rap und Pop.
