Someone who is resilient can cope with tough events and remain positive.

Injured in November, unable to run since the beginning of April

Kept training upper body, engine/Vo² on bike, station technique

Sports massage, physiotherapy, chiropractor, orthopedic consultant, sports management consultant, 2x spinal nerve blocks

Rocked up to the start line @hyroxworld champions not knowing if she'd be able to run, but determined to finish whatever

Exceeded expectations by powering through the pain barrier, jogging the whole way (& getting some station PBs).

It was never going to be a race PB but to finish in the way she did, in the circumstances she was given, was a bigger achievement than anything that could be measured by time alone.

And that made our slowest race our biggest achievement…..so far

ZEEBA 🤎🤍💔 1.6.10 - 8.5.26
Immensely sad that we've had to say goodbye to our furry daughter/sister, Zeeba 😥 after nearly 16 years of joy, fun and love 🥰🐕
Constant companion, always available for walks, zoomies, snacks and cuddles 🤎🤍
Loved trips to the beach, Beacons and beyond, camping and watching Laura play rugby
Always on the hedge to supervise me cutting the front lawn (so she could get a fuss from the neighbours) and always helped tidy up after a takeaway 😋😂

The most photographed member of the family 📸 🐶 🤣 so we'll always have our cherished memories of the best girl ❤️‍🩹 by @david_satterly

It's mad how life works out sometimes 🤯
When @angeladawn_satterly said let's do a #hyrox little did we imagine we'd end up at @hyroxworld #hyroxworldchampionships 😱🤣😁🇺🇸
It's been an amazing journey - qualified via @hyrox.france #hyroxtoulouse, ended up in Chicago - and here's me sat by the list of 24/25 season venues with Toulouse & Chicago next to each other like it was meant to be 🤔
Along the way we've had injury and illness, but still significantly improved our PBs at #hyroxlondonolympia and #hyroxcardiff , gaining #hyroxpodium in all 3 open events
All through we've had fantastic support from friends and family, especially @laura_satterly.cdf (media manager, @teamsatterly) @rhiannasatterly & @mahoneyg and our friends at @colosseum_gym_cardiff and #LGT Caerphilly 💖
We've been put through our paces by @tyracadette_pt (@teamreesgym), put back together by @jodiereeks25 @recoveryroomcardiff , healed by @healthyhighclub & fuelled by @rise.aboveordinary
It was a privilege to represent 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 and astounding that @emily.metcalf
from Colloseum and Mered and Jo Pryce from @iechyda gym made it 5 of us from Cardiff
So massive thanks to all of the above, but most of all to @angeladawn_satterly who signed us up to that first event, without realising she'd have to do men's weights 🙈😱 but never shied from the challenge and is absolutely smashing it 💥

Wall Ball progression in 1 week:

Deeper squats with improved range of motion 💪
Mobility & positioning is stronger 💪
Movement is more fluid 💪
Rep speed has increased without sacrificing
Form 💪

Dave & Ange went away after the session last week and worked on what we covered, and it’s already paying off!

Perhaps the older generations missed schools teaching about online safety, disinformation and fact checking sources.
I'm sure they were all taught to be wary of dodgy men giving false promises tho... by @david_satterly
