It was such a full circle moment to work with @lindsayadler_photo for this month’s Learn+ episode. I started photography by accident (for grad school homework) and I had zero training. Finding Lindsay’s YouTube channel changed EVERYTHING for me, and I started taking her workshops as a student. 90% of what I know about photography comes from her. Fast-forward nearly a decade later to be asked as a guest in her series is something that still breaks my brain. I owe so much to her, and I’m so excited to share this experience with you all. Go check it out!!

And of course a HUGE thank you to all of the queens and crew who participated and helped put this thing together: @pissimyles , @birthdayjake , @karikerning , @xxtastiexx , @svetlanastoli , @bea.effay , @_julielw00d , @wolf_pahrm , @bladeinthedark , @steventphoto by @davidayllon

For the third photo for my Learn+ episode with @lindsayadler_photo I wanted to do something really silly and fun, so I knew @karikerning would be PERFECT for the concept. I think my favorite moment from the shoot was @_julielw00d needing to baby bird chewing gum into Kari’s mouth to keep her vampire tooth from falling out (they had only met that day). Anything for the shot!

For my second shot in the workshop, I thought it would be fun to revisit one of my favorite photos of @trixiemattel and see if I could re-VAMP it for Halloween. Who better than Monster Girl @birthdayjake ? We used 82 lbs of candy for this shot, and all of it WILL be eaten (but we saved all the PEZ for @lindsayadler_photo ). Check out Lindsay’s latest Learn+ episode to see how we achieved the shot! And while you’re at it, check out Monster Girl in @hebgbtv now on @tubi ! 📺🎃

And a GIANT shoutout to @wolf_pahrm for designing and 3D printing this custom “Human Girl” mask in like 48 hours!

Spooky season is officially here! I had the INCREDIBLE opportunity to be a guest photographer for @lindsayadler_photo for her monthly Learn+ series—this month it’s all about spooky drag! We each walk you through 3 shots from concept to final product, and this first photo is none other than @pissimyles ❤️ She’s Miranda Priestly meets Lydia Deetz and she’s bored to DEATH. Subscribe now to see how we created this shot with nothing but tomato cages, pool noodles, and a dream. Link in bio!
