Life lately includes meeting a new friend, conquering fears, kitty yawns and snuggles, stopping to smell the flowers, and running. Always running.

Texas has been full of surprises. I’ve done plenty of things I never thought I would do (mostly moving to a state where the average high temperature is above 100) and considering how quickly this all happened, I’d say I’m adjusting fairly well. It hasn’t been without its tough spots, but I’d have those spots anywhere I’d go. Just because you change your environment doesn’t mean that everything will be perfect.

I could not do this without the support of my favorite people. Friendship has always been tough for me. I spent years hiding who I was because I was afraid if I showed too much of myself, I wouldn’t have anyone. I don’t know what I did to deserve these humans in my life, but I am grateful for every choice, every tear, and every difficult moment that brought me here.

I can’t wait to see what kind of adventures are next.

What a year ❤️

I can’t tell if it’s a year of ending, of in between, of a new beginning. It seems, it’s a year of everything, totally too much and also leaving me longing.

A year without retreat, but a year spent knee deep in the Mecca of relationships. Engagement is just that, the single biggest invitation into the way we’re all woven together; and to unravel the threads and find where it is I really sit. Still, I have quite a ways to go. I’m glad to have such a wise (and funny) man by my side.

It’s been so much of everything that I don’t know whether to laugh or cry, to fall to my knees out of gratitude, or to launch one last lofty prayer. What I do know, is the in between is the realm of unbridled power, that transition though unstable is undeniably magical. I’m hoping I still have time to drink deeply of all it’s giving me so I can remember the flavor in different weather.

I am enamored by just how much beauty there is underneath my nose. Just gathering memories for this post presents me with how much goodness I’ve been fortunate to partake in. The people we get to meet along the way are shrines, perfect embodiments of the beloved.

Next year is for the girlies and I’ll be damned if the magic won’t keep rollin and taking us exactly where it is we need to go ❤️
