a short director reel of some dance projects I’ve choreographed, directed and produced with the fam @pdhtfam through @flyingartstudios 🎬

there’s something truly special about dance that speaks to the soul without saying a single word.

Don’t forget to hold the door open once you walk through it.

I was a bit nervous about sharing this.

I hope this story can inspire at least one person to stay true to themselves and keep going even when things don’t work out according to plan.

Keep sharing your story, because your story is our story...

I’m lost for words right now but man, what an incredible 4 days of shooting it’s been. I’m so blessed to be surrounded by so many amazing creatives and to have connected with so many awesome Vietnamese Australians through the process of shooting this film. ❤️ Thank you to every cast and crew member and everyone who helped get us to where we are now.

Thank you for joining me on this journey, and pouring your hearts into this film. Onto the edit!!! ✂️🎞️ 🎨#phuocshortfilm 🎥🎬

Making PHƯỚC! Episode 13

The best decision I made for PHƯỚC! was finding a way to make it happen for myself 🎬

It’s scary putting your own money into a passion project that may not necessarily bring a financial return. But not every investment is measured in dollars. 💸

What you gain is creative freedom. Ownership. A piece of work that represents your vision and a showcase of what you’re capable of when you give yourself the opportunity to make it.

After countless failed grant applications and plenty of setbacks, I finally decided to stop waiting for someone else to give me permission to make the film.

So I took the plunge and funded it myself.

PHƯỚC! is now in post-production, and whatever happens next, I’m proud that I backed myself and made the work I wanted to make.

Sometimes the biggest investment you can make is simply believing in your own work enough to make it happen.
