Three months married! 🙏🏽❤️

I’ve been through a lot in life, and I think that makes you appreciate the moments that truly matter even more. June 5th was one of those days I’ll never forget.
Standing there with Valery, surrounded by our family and the people we love most, and having them witness us start this next chapter together made the day incredibly special. Having Olivia there with us and being able to share such an important moment with my daughter made it even more meaningful.

And then there was Valery. Seeing her walk in that day honestly felt like I was in a dream. She looked absolutely gorgeous, her dress was beautiful, and I remember just looking at her and thinking how lucky I was that this incredible woman was about to become my wife.

But as beautiful as she looked, it’s her heart that I love the most. She is loving, caring, loyal, and has such a beautiful way of showing up for the people she loves. My love for her runs deeper than I can really put into words, and getting to stand there and promise my life to her, surrounded by everyone we care about, was one of the most special moments of my life.

I’m grateful for everything that brought us to this moment, for the family we’ve created, and for the life we’re building together.

Three months today. 🤍

June 5th will forever hold an extra-special place in my heart. On the very same day my parents celebrated 50 years of marriage, I said “I do” and officially became Mrs. Hicks. Two generations of love, commitment, and forever - all celebrated on the same beautiful day. What a gift. 🥹❤️

Thank you, Slava, for capturing this moment so beautifully. I love reliving every second of our wedding day and the love that surrounded us.

To everyone who traveled, showed up, helped, celebrated, supported us, and loved us from the beginning - thank you. We truly felt the love, and we’re so grateful to have such incredible people in our corner. You’ve been part of our story from the start, and we’re so lucky to have you as part of our community and support system for all the chapters still to come.

And to my husband… Happy three months, David Hicks. ❤️ Three months as your wife, a lifetime still ahead of us. I’d choose you all over again.

This Father’s Day was especially meaningful. It was my first Father’s Day as a husband, celebrating this new chapter with my wife @valeryortiz . While also sharing one of my favorite traditions with Olivia on set with @skims . Watching Olivia come to life on set truly never gets old. She continues to amaze me every single day, and being able to work alongside her is something I’ll never take for granted. Those moments together always remind me just how lucky I am and they still bring a tear to my eye.

She’s truly a dream come true, and I’m so grateful for every memory we get to create together. I’m so happy to be her Father. ❤️

Seven years ago, my world changed forever when I became your dad. 💕 A few years later things changed, it became you and me, learning, growing, and taking on life together. Looking back at these memories, I’m reminded of everything we’ve been through to get to where we are today—every laugh, every challenge, every moment that has shaped us.

You’ve grown into a little girl with a personality bigger than life itself—captivating, joyful, and full of heart. Everyone who meets you feels your warmth, your energy, and your light, and I feel so lucky to be your dad. These moments we’ve shared mean more than words could ever capture.

A few years ago, @valeryortiz came into our lives, and she has been such a blessing & gift—uplifting our little family, filling our days with laughter, and becoming such a positive, loving figure in your world. She has been such a great role model for you, and watching the two of you grow to love each other has been one of the greatest joys of my life. Together, we’ve created so many fun memories, and I know this is only the beginning.

You see?! I Forty freakin’ WON! I had the most epic birthday surprise (MINUTES after the most epic proposal) thanks to every single person in that room. People often tell me that I have “a lot of friends”. Some continue to mention they have a tight circle because they value intimate connections. An indirect way of boasting quality over quantity. And although that can be true in so many cases - it’s absolutely not mine. My friends along the years have truly become like family. I am so thankful to all of you for making my already unforgettable birthday the most emotional and epic one to date! I’ve lived many different chapters of my life with each of you. Ya’ll have seen me celebrate the biggest wins and cry through all the deepest losses. Again and again. Thank you. For ALL of it. I love you!! 🥹

Marissa- you were Davids right hand girl! There are NO WORDS to thank you for everything you were for him and alllll the details you put together to make it so special for me. It. Was. Perfect. Thank you so much!! 💓🫶🏽😘
Valerie- I still can’t believe you flew out even after everything you were going through. You are like the sister God knew I needed in my life! Thank you for always being so supportive of me and being a cheerleader and fan of David since date one when we were on the phone right before he picked me up! Haha! I’m so thankful David & Marissa had your help. It was THE best. I love you!
Corrine- the video says it all. I was so shocked/happy when I saw you! Thank you for always - always being there for me. For decades. Through all - of - it. Ya tu sabes! Everyone always talks about how special you are. They’re right. Grateful you’re part of my framily. 😘
Alikona- thank you for being a part of the LA planning committee in the beginning! You vouched to make sure there was equal parts birthday celebrations and I love that about you! All the bday details were perfect!
Tracey- You probably didn’t realize just how involved you’d be when this all started haha! but I thank you for being a huge sound board and listening ear for David these last several months. You really came through and I’m so thankful. Yall did it!

Life has a way of surprising us. Just when you think you have it all figured out, everything shifts and becomes more beautiful than you imagined. After many prayers and faith that the future would be bright, August 1st became a day I’ll never forget. I took @valeryortiz on a scavenger hunt filled with love and surprises. At the end of that journey, I asked her to marry me.

This was a moment I had dreamed about for so long, planned down to the smallest detail, and by the grace of God it all came together perfectly. It was one of the most heartfelt and meaningful days of our lives. I’m beyond grateful to walk into this next chapter hand in hand with my Valery, my answered prayer, and now… my fiancée.
