I am incredibly proud of myself for being able to share my story as a Deaf, gay man living in regional Victoria. Being able to share my experiences, my identity, and my journey means so much to me.

We, as the LGBTQIA+ community, are one big family, supporting, uplifting, and celebrating one another. Together, we are stronger, and I am so proud to be part of this beautiful community by @davidiaangrant

This applies to other countries, too!

There’s no such thing as being “too late” to learn Auslan. I’ve met people in their 60s and 70s who have learned Auslan, and it’s a wonderful reminder that learning has no age limit.

Whether you want to learn Auslan or try something completely new, you can start at any age. It’s never too late to learn, grow and discover something new! by @davidiaangrant

These are the signs I personally use when communicating with people on set. Every Deaf actor may have their own signs, gestures or ways of communicating and that’s what makes Deaf communication so unique!
