WONDERFULSOUND - Feat Sinj Clarke, SHOLTO, David Bardon & SFJ

A- Side ‘Disque Bleu’
AA - Side ‘ Amaro’

After a successful link-up with Melbourne’s Sinj Clarke on a 2024 release for WONDERFULSOUND’s Single Club, things moved quickly. When Sinj mentioned he was heading to London, a rendezvous at The French House was inevitable.

Around the same time, Miles found himself at Oscar SHOLTO’s birthday — upstairs in a restaurant in Covent Garden — a loose gathering of about 14 musicians … harps, vibraphones, piano, brass, etc etc. A wild impromptu set followed: Miles’s first SHOLTO gig.

As it turned out, Sinj already knew about SHOLTO. A session was quickly arranged at SFJ Studios, where the circle widened and everyone was introduced to the boss, David Bardon.

Why Disque Bleu? My Mum’s cigarette of choice
Why Amaro? An Italian black espresso over ice no sugar.

Each single comes with 1 of 3 WONDERFULSOUND cigarette card - collect the set! Plus a 7” adapter

Omnichord - Miles Copeland
Piano, Moog - Sinj Clarke
Theremin, Bass & Guitar - David Bardon
Drums - Oscar Robertson

Vocals on Amaro - Victoria Hamblett

Tom McBrien

A Side ‘The Seed’
B Side ‘Mogul’

Exclusive 7” Vinyl release - subscribe in the bio.

Tom McBrien is a London-based pianist and composer, known to many as the quietly magnetic presence behind the keys in SHOLTO’s ever-shifting live lineups over the past year.

His debut release pairs A-side “The Seed” with B-side “Mogul”—two deeply reflective compositions that sit somewhere between the lyrical intimacy of Bill Evans and the cinematic tension of Jonny Greenwood. Mesmerizing and romantic, these pieces feel perfectly timed for the threshold between an ending year and a beginning one.

The record showcases a new generation of London musicians, with Dave Bardon and Oscar “SHOLTO” Robertson producing while also contributing bass & drums respectively. Rachel Kitchlew sits at harp, alongside appearances from Finn Rees, and string work from Abigail Adams, Meg Ella Brookes, and Giovanni Cresseri double bass. Tom McBrien – Piano

In the coming year there’s new music and live performances planned.
