Very very hard to put tour du Mont Blanc in perspective. I’m still buzzing about the experience, 170kms of hills and descents touching three different countries with sun, rain and hail, ranging from green pastures to rocky summits, a trail challenging both mind and spirit. It was incredible to see @ile_elodia grind out those hills after coming back from two fractures in the past month with unrivaled grit. Beautiful to witness such a diverse range of nature and weather. I felt truly blessed to be able to do this and I am certain that, if 2 years ago I didn’t go for a jog, I would have never put myself at the start of TMB in Les Houches. There is so much to feel out there, so much beauty to discover, all hiding behind some discomfort and effort. The biggest insight I got since that silly jog is to GET OUT THERE and experience this all. Speechless. A few captures from last weekend with @nikeacgcommunityau hiking up Mt Bogong and enjoying some crispy ice action at the summit. Taking those final steps up the icy climb, I questioned if we should even be up there. The answer—as always—was a clear yes. The last trail run in the Dandenong ranges got me emotional. Way more highs than lows. Lots of learning in the last two years.
