Summiting Mount Bogong is always a unique experience. This hike with the @nikeacgcommunityau was a stark contrast from last year's blue and mostly windless skies.

Messing around with thicker gloves meant I didn't take many shots worth keeping, but here are a few I felt captured the experience and conditions we found ourselves in.

When you're up at 1,986m above sea level in 80km/h winds and -9°C temps, you better be in the right gear. If your teeth still chatter after that, it's fear.

It’s been a busy few weeks with Ascend athletes across the globe, some racing, some training towards big goals, some just doing the work 🧱

New recruits @ral_com_ and Michael have been exploring Slovenia, topped off with a 10km race around Lake Bohinj 🥇 Pretty good way to get some training in I’d say ⛰️

@chefwithanaccent has been stacking bricks, building a big base to take on Julian Alps 120km in September. Don’t let Davide’s smooth social media game distract you, he’s been getting the work done 💪

Meanwhile in Sweden @liana__stubbs launched her final preparations for @jwoc2026, competing at the 2nd round of the Orienteering World Cup. Liana held her head in a field packed with the best elite orienteers from across the world, vital prep for the upcoming A goal in July 🫡

Still a guest on Davide’s mountain. I prefer the road, but the freshness up here can’t be beat.

Thanks for the photos @chefwithanaccent
