Ones in a while my soul needs solitude with something older than itself.
Out here, in Algodones Dunes , the desert doesn’t comfort you, it strips you bare. 108 degrees temperatures, sky, and a stillness so complete it feels sacred. There’s a beauty in the nothingness, in land that owes nothing and apologizes for none of it. This is my 4th pilgrimage to this place in Southern California desert, one of the few places nature hasn’t been asked to behave and neither have I. #algodonesdunes #desertphotography #djimini #sunrise @aereophilly by @davidsurop

40 Years of @tequilasphilly: Past, Present, Future 🇲🇽

When @davidsurop opened Tequilas in September 1986, his mission was to bring a fuller expression of Mexican food and culture to Philadelphia. But this clip is just one small part of the Suro family story…

40 years later, Tequilas’ influence has grown far beyond its Locust Street home and remains part of the evolving story of Mexican food in Philly—thanks to longtime staff and David’s three children @dan_suro @_elisa_suro_ @dave_suro_jr who all have carved their own paths back to the family business and are now helping shape what comes next…most recently with the debut of @lajefaphilly.
