“The Death of a Good Satyr” oil on board 36”x36” Before the stars are added, which is where this painting is coming from, “out of the Dark”
I’ve been wanting to try a new direction with my work and I’m still working on this…must add stars. This painting is about transformation, the Dark, Divine feminine healing, brokenness, and luckily I had a strong Scorpio and an even stronger Aquarius to help me out with it. by @davidvegt

A recent portrait commission. Enjoyed doing this one, loved the playfulness, and I changed it to two candles instead of what the reference pic gave me (which will remain a secret 🤫) two flames for shared love in the birthday of a dad 😊. #portraitpainting #portrait #oilpainting #davidvegt by @davidvegt

When overwhelm sets in, go back to the familiar. When I was 18, I went on a trip that took me on the final days to Malaysia to a small island called Tioman, where I read this book when I felt lost. I don’t feel lost as much as trying to reorient myself in another big transitional year. I’m thankful for this small talisman of safety. by @davidvegt

Toni Jones is a singer of affirmative life. When I was in a low point, I had her on repeat while I painted. Was really encouraged to keep going. (I’m also obsessed with this other song O Superman, so she gets to be that character for me today) by @davidvegt

Cost is 195 for three powerful learning lessons and includes everything you will need. More information to come for those who inquire. by @davidvegt
