Thanks to @mlagmusic and @nebraskafestivalsingers for the beautiful premiere of the piece they commissioned from me last year - "FOR THE SMALLEST THINGS" for SATB and piano. The text is a beautiful poem by my friend and now semi-frequent collaborator, Nebraska poet @heidie.pattee 👏 by @davidvonkampen

Thanks to the @nebraskafestivalsingers for yesterday’s wonderful premiere of FOR THE SMALLEST THINGS, which they commissioned from me last year. It’s my setting of a lovely little poem by Nebraska poet @heidie.pattee - our second collaboration together! by @davidvonkampen

It’s a little hard to believe that the little girl in these pictures is officially a teenager. Watching her grow into the person she is becoming has been one of my favorite parts of being her mom.

She has always been a girl who can disappear into a good book, and I hope that never changes.

We love you to pieces sweet Gretta! by @davidvonkampen
