This is a moment for every Jamaican, every little girl or individual that has ever had a dream!

A setback only paves the way to the dreams you’ve kept alive. I am standing here today as a proud Jamaican woman that never believed in the noes because I had faith in the yeses that would come. An upward trajectory for one of us is an upward movement for all.

There is a saying that says, “if you do what you love, then you won’t work a day in your life.” I have learned that isn’t so!You’ll work harder than you ever possibly thought you could!

Against all odds, I followed my heart from Jamaica to the international market, chasing my dreams even when they seemed crazy! I remember when @jorge_urena told me I got selected for this job, & how I burst into tears on the phone! I couldn’t believe it! 😭😭😭

Today, I am one of the new faces for Dior’s worldwide campaign, a testament to the power of hard work, perseverance, and self-belief. I AM ON A BILLBOARD IN NEW YORK CITY! 😭😭

I wish I had the words! I wish I knew what to say! But for the first time ever, all I can do is cry! All I can do is lift my hands up to the sky and thank God for this!
I have worked for 7 years trying and fighting to be a model! Sooo many nooos! So many doors shut in my face!!! I never gave up! I never stopped fighting! The little girl in me is screaming!!!!!!! This has been one of the longest dreams I’ve ever had! It is finally a reality!!!
My Mom and Dad are screaming & I am on the floor!!! 🧎🏾‍♀️😭

Back in Germany & not doing anything Mommy wouldn’t do!! 🤣🤭

My last trip here was TOUGH! I remember calling my mom saying “I want to leave early!” and she said “Since when you turn quitter!?” 🤣😅 That definitely got me to stay.

While this was a market I thrived in, the taxes 👀, culture, food, people — it was a big culture shock for me!

But as we know, I don’t back down from challenges, so here we are again!

New Digitals who dis!? 🤭💁🏾‍♀️

Lemme take a moment to teach for those that don’t know!

Digitals are probably the most important pictures a model will take. Why? These are the images sent to clients looking to book a model. They’re redone every 6 months, and in my case, this is my introduction to the London market.

Little to no makeup, form-fitting clothing, great lighting. The client wants to see YOU, your body, a blank canvas they can work with. Usually it’s standard shots, natural beauty shots, lingerie + intro video & walk video (didn’t add here).

Digitals are sometimes scary because I hope my skin looks good that day, I’m not bloated, and I just do a good job to get booked. I’ve had moments when all of the above is happening on digitals day! 😅

However, I must say Europe seems to be “greeing” wid me!

So let me (re)introduce myself!
