Soooo, my weekend was pretty epic!! Not only did I get to attend my first-ever @fanexpodallas event, but I was lucky enough to meet one of my favorite actors - @josephquinn !! That's right, I got to meet Mr. Eddie Munson himself, and it was a moment I will never forget. There were some issues apparently that made him late that day (according to one of the Expo crew members), and there were so many people there to see him, so his handlers rushed us all through pretty quickly. But I can say that from the moment he made eye contact with you, it was as if you were the only person in the room, and he had your undivided attention. He made me feel so welcome and that he was just as happy for me to be there as I was. His "Hi, hello, how are you? and "It's so lovely to see you!" welcomed me like I was seeing an old friend, and as I left, he thanked me for coming to see him and how lovely it was to see me. I can honestly say that, just like @jensenackles , he is even more of an awesome human than I hoped he'd be. So thoughtful, friendly, caring, and warm!! I know anyone who has had the pleasure of meeting him will understand what I am trying to say (I know @shaunasmagicalworld will). He is so awesome, and to borrow a line from Taylor Swift, I was truly enchanted to meet him!!

Joseph, thank you so much for simply being the amazing, beautiful human you are! I truly hope you know how much YOU mean to all of us. Also, thank you for bringing to life one of the most incredible characters to ever grace the screen. Eddie means so much to so many people, and that is all because of you. 💚

I would also love to thank the staff and crew of @fanexpodallas . As I said, this was my first Fan Expo event, but it was also my first ever comic-con event of any sort, and I'm so glad we chose this one. The staff was so friendly, super helpful, and we had a blast. We can't wait to go back!!

And last not certainly not least, I definitely want to thank my best friend, @jonathanorear , who called me up and asked: "Hey, how about we get out of town, go to Dallas and meet Joseph Quinn. You wanna?" Thank you, Jonathan!! by @davyn73

Exactly one month ago, @jonathanorear & I were invited to attend the Family Reunion at Family Business Beer Company, and to say we had a blast would be an understatement!! @familybusinessbeerco is one of our favorite places in the world to visit - a beautiful location with a great atmosphere, great food, and, well, obviously great drinks! The owners & staff are pretty awesome too! We got to meet @jensenackles for a second time, and he was just as amazing as the first - except this time, I could actually speak to him!! Jensen is truly just as awesome of a human as you think he would be. It was a fantastic night neither of us will ever forget, and we can't wait to go back!!

I hope everyone had a great 9/25 Day, celebrating our beloved and deeply missed Dolly Parton. No matter how you celebrated, whether it was making food from her recipes, watching her movies, singing along with your favorite Dolly songs, or reading one of her books, I hope everybody had a blast. Ultimately though, I hope we all continued to learn from her example and found ways to show kindness, love, and be there for one another, because that's what Dolly would do, and her hope was always that we would, too. It's the best way we can honor her.

Dolly was truly one of a kind, and I believe she was truly an angel among us on loan from heaven until God needed her to come home. But she lives on through her legacy - her music, movies, recipes, and stories - she left so much for us to discover, enjoy, and cherish. But of all her amazing accomplishments, her greatest legacy was one of kindness and love. She was truly one exceptional human. She's gone far too soon, and while we'll miss her, we will keep her in our hearts and never forget her. She still has so much to teach us if we'll let her. We just have to listen.

Dolly, thank you for the music, the lessons, the love, laughter, and kindness - in other words, thank you for being you. You are missed more than one can truly put into words, but one thing's for sure - I will always love you! by @davyn73

Like most of us, my introduction to Duncan Sheik was through his smash hit, "Barely Breathing." From the moment I first heard that song, I was a fan. It was so good and so different from everything else out at the time. I hunted down his debut album, and I should probably admit the number of times I played that album when I found it might be to some an embarrassing amount, but I didn't care. The sound of his voice, the music, and the lyrics were brilliant - soft, poignant, meaningful, and hauntingly beautiful - so much beauty and brilliance in the simplicity.As talented as he was handsome, I couldn't get enough of his music - it's so authentic and relatable - and there's so much more to discover past his brilliant hit song. From his solo albums to film soundtracks to writing and composing hit Broadway plays, he really could do it all. He was taken from us far too soon, but what a legacy of creativity and kindness he leaves behind. My heart breaks for his family, friends, and fans across the globe. by @davyn73

40 years ago today, @cyndilauper released her second album, True Colors, and man, is it a masterpiece! Led by the absolutely stunning title track (written by Billy Steinberg & Tom Kelly), True Colors was packed full with songs that were not just beautiful, catchy, and fun with music that made you want to dance - they have meaningful lyrics that tug at your heart and make you think a little more about life, love, and the world around you. Her gorgeous cover of Marvin Gaye's What's Going On is a great example of that, as are both True Colors and Boy Blue, along with other gems such as Change Of Heart, Calm Inside The Storm, The Faraway Nearby, and One Track Mind, just to name a few. There's no fluff and filler here. Cybdi made this album intentionally, and when you listen to it, you can hear why. True Colors is an album that still has something to say, even 40 years later, if you take the time to listen. And you should, because this album is truly beautiful, like a rainbow. by @davyn73

In the aftermath of the horrific events of 9/11, Dolly wrote this song, "Hello God." Isn't it just like her to capture exactly what we all feel in a song? Just one of her many gifts.

Today marks the 25th anniversary of that horrific day. None of us will ever forget it. Given the gravity of the day and everything else going on in the world, it just felt like the perfect song to post today.

It's said that a boy's first hero is his father, and for me, that's a very true statement. He was so kind, so generous, and so funny, and he never met a stranger. He was always the first to offer help and was there for everyone who needed him. There was nothing he couldn't do. He was truly my hero, and he always will be. Congratulations, Tess, on 3 years of Kit & Basie!!

Three years ago, @tess.carletta released her debut novel (the first in a series) titled Kit & Basie, which, in my opinion, became an instant modern classic and one of my favorite books ever!

Kit & Basie is a cozy, magical MM fantasy that grips you from the very first page and doesn't let go. It breaks your heart, but it also makes you believe in hope, love, and a bit of magic. Tess Brilliantly handles grief, disastrous first impressions, identity, friendship, and love, and even though it's a fantasy, keeps the characters (especially Kit Elliot and the immortal Basie Yeats) very relatable. Believe me, you'll be thinking about Kit & Basie long after you've read the last page. Tess wrote a stunning debut novel. You'll be hooked from page one and thinking about Kit & Basie long after you've read the last page.

So, here's the question: Is it possible for two people to navigate grief and recover from a disastrous first impression to find their way to friendship, or possibly even true love? It's going to take changes of heart, honesty, apple pie, and definitely some magic for that to happen. And Long Lily seems to be the perfect place to find out.

I’ve always believed that angels exist and that sometimes, if we’re lucky, they walk among us. Dolly Parton was proof of that. She was a masterful entertainer and businesswoman, but she was an even better human, one who embraced her fame and used her platform to encourage and uplift everyone while doing as much good as she possibly could. She never wavered in her faith, and she shared her beautiful soul with everyone, spreading love and kindness every day. Losing @dollyparton is a blow to every one of us, and the world is a bit darker without her. To say she will be missed is an understatement, but what a legacy she leaves behind!! A legacy of joy, laughter, music, faith, love, acceptance and goodwill, and all the lessons she taught us, especially to love one another, tohelp each other as much as we can, and no matter what anyone says, we are all enough. She was unapologetically herself and truly one of a kind. Thank you so much for everything, Dolly! I will always love you!

MIsha Collins is more than just an actor, activist, and ally. He's also more than just our favorite "Supernatural" Angel. He's a poet, too, and a darn good one at that!! Happy Birthday, @misha!
