POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

2015-2023

Dawn Ray'd is finished. This band has not stopped for 8 years, we were touring before we even had any music recorded, we have toured further afield than we ever imagined; we have spoken about ideas of anarchism and liberation at every show we have ever played, given out thousands of copies of Beyond Chaos in merch orders and at shows, we have tried our best to attack fascism in this scene head on at every opportunity we have had, we have tried to use every platform, every moment possible to spread these ideas.
We are at a point where Dawn Ray’d is no longer the right vessel for us to express ourselves creatively or politically and we have said what we needed to say in places that hopefully needed to hear it.

All shows from today will be cancelled, and we sincerely apologise for that.
Thank you to anyone who cared about this and every wonderful person we have met, we have loved doing it.

All money and future merch orders will be donated to Sea Watch, and all cash will be given to Liverpool Migrant Solidarity Network.

See you in the streets!

To Know The Light is OUT NOW and streaming everywhere!

We have made it to release day! It means the world to us to get this out;
These 10 songs document our personal journey through anarcho-nihilism, from despair to finding joy in resistance, to defending light and love by any means, to finding new reasons to refuse to give up in this ever darkening world. And it means nothing if we don't share it with others.
“…If you still sing then I’ll still sing.”

“GO AS FREE COMPANIONS!” - NEW SINGLE - 2.3.23

“Go with him as free companions, to help him on his way. You may tarry, or come back, or turn aside into other paths as chance allows. The further you go, the less easy will it be to withdraw; yet no oath or bond is laid on you to go further than you will…go now with free hearts!” - Elrond

‘To Know The Light’ LP is released 24th March!

UPDATE: As promised, we have donated all moneys to radical causes.

We have already sent £2000 to refugee solidarity groups in Liverpool. We had promised the rest would be sent to Seawatch, However, this was before the most recent attacks on Gaza, and it doesn't feel right to ignore the current suffering there, so we are splitting the money between Seawatch and Medical Aid for Palestinians, with £2,000 going to each.
Everyone deserves a life of freedom, dignity, and safety. NO HUMAN IS ILLEGAL///FREE PALESTINE!

Thanks to everyone who bought merch, we will keep you updated on how we donate any money made in the future.

We have added any remaining records and a few shirts to our Bandcamp.

Also, if there are any distros that support radical projects that want a box of To Know The Light CDs let us know and you can have them for free!
