It’s been over 6 months since I got to see my #mancub, so I couldn’t help but smile all (sweaty and smoky) day long! Got to tour the Capitol (after a small detour by this directionally challenged girl) and get my library card for the Library of Congress, enjoyed dinner at Old Ebbitt Grill, and then take in the Lincoln Memorial (amazing!). taken in Washington D. Great night out with my girls! An all acoustic, up close and personal show with @tylerrich who did not disappoint! Also got to see @cartersimpsonofficial open. He sounded great and it was an absolute pleasure to see two different performers absolutely loving what they do. taken in Folsom Hotel by @dawnruns

Today was hard.
When you go from 4 gym and 2 run days/week to 2 gym days, a few long walks, and some pickleball…all over a 3 week stretch, your body definitely lets you know it’s not the same.
And while I’ve enjoyed this break, I also miss the endorphins. I’ve still got 3 more weeks of travel ahead, so now I work on my plan…

How today started…and what it looked like midday. Folsom Lake half with my girls.
When @sarah_starr_08 registered for this race, there was no way that @stephrunsfar and I were going to miss out on supporting her and cheering her on! Today was such a beautiful reminder of how wonderful the trail community is. Runners of all capabilities rooting for one another, volunteers out ensuring everyone is good, and a race director who ensure we had a well marked course.
It’s amazing what we can accomplish.
