One year ago, I set out to share a piece of my home and upbringing with the world.

Growing up in Japan, tea was part of my everyday life. It was the warm cup my mother placed on my desk while I studied, a quiet moment to breathe, and later, a comforting companion through busy workdays.

When I founded Daylight Matcha, my dream was simple: to bring that exact sense of calm, warmth, and intention to your daily life.

From the centuries-old fields of Uji, Kyoto, to your own rituals, every tin we deliver is highly curated. I only select teas that I would proudly serve to my own family and closest friends.

Thank you for welcoming our tea into your homes this past year. You have made this journey more beautiful than I ever could have imagined. by @daylight.matcha

If you don’t know where to start with matcha, the matcha kit from @daylight.matcha is a great place to begin!! 🍵

The kit comes with everything you need to start!

*it comes with the morning light blend but I used their uji ritual blend for this post. Both are great blends! 🍃

Super important to do, because you don’t want to break your whisk!

Another important step to get that smooth, creamy drink — otherwise you’re drinking clumps!

You can do less water if you want a thicker or creamier consistency!

My favorite part — watching it all mix together! 🍵

Make sure you use sweetener if you like your matcha to be sweet! I use about 1.5-2 pumps of sugar free sweetener from Torani!

Enjoy your drink! 😌

In case you forget, the kit comes with instructions on how to make matcha also!
