Fig & Thyme Matcha Latte 🍵🍂💜

One fig, two different tea drinks!! Because why waste the fruit when you can make something delicious with every part of it?! 🤭💜

Remember the homemade fig & thyme syrup from my last recipe? Instead of throwing away the leftover fruit, I turned it into a fig jam for this matcha latte!!

For the matcha, I used Uji Ritual by @daylight.matcha (gifted), and omg this matcha is so good & I’d def recommend any matcha lover to try it out💚

It has this beautiful deep umami flavor, incredibly creamy & smooth texture, with absolutely no bitterness. The lingering savory character is rich yet gentle, making it lovely as usucha and even more delicious paired with the sweet, jammy figs 🍵 The contrast on the bright vivid green & deep purple tones are simple gorgeous!!

The fig brings a cozy sweetness while the thyme adds a subtle herbal touch. A lovely combination for fall without overpowering the matcha 🍂

Would you turn leftover syrup fruit into jam for your next latte?! 👀💜

Save + share this for your fall matcha rotation! Full recipe coming next!! ✨

If you don’t know where to start with matcha, the matcha kit from @daylight.matcha is a great place to begin!! 🍵

The kit comes with everything you need to start!

*it comes with the morning light blend but I used their uji ritual blend for this post. Both are great blends! 🍃

Super important to do, because you don’t want to break your whisk!

Another important step to get that smooth, creamy drink — otherwise you’re drinking clumps!

You can do less water if you want a thicker or creamier consistency!

My favorite part — watching it all mix together! 🍵

Make sure you use sweetener if you like your matcha to be sweet! I use about 1.5-2 pumps of sugar free sweetener from Torani!

Enjoy your drink! 😌

In case you forget, the kit comes with instructions on how to make matcha also!

If you need me, I’ll be in the corner sipping my matcha. 🍵

I’ve been really enjoying this assortment of matcha and hojicha powders that @daylight.matcha kindly sent over for me to try. This wasn’t a paid collaboration or anything, more of a “if you like it, share it” kind of deal and needless to say, I like it.

It’s honestly been way better than most of what I can pick up locally, so I’ve found myself getting way more excited to make a matcha whenever I get the chance.

Just sharing because I’ve genuinely been enjoying it. No affiliation or anything on my end, just good matcha. 🍵
