POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

hello! to all the new faces round here, i’m deanna 👋🏼

i like making things, traveling, and sharing bits of both here.

this year, i’ve been focusing on slowing down and being a little braver.

some of which includes
- trying new dance styles
- overcoming my fear of power tools lol
- hitting 3 plates on hip thrust
- not doing things from a place of guilt or obligation!!

i’m glad you found your way here and i hope you’ll stay awhile :) taken in California by @daysfullof

how life looks when ur a graphic designer!! (in fonts)

which is your fave?
- new kansas swash (intro serif)
- bacalar (intro slab)
- arbotek (intro & botanical garden)
- gardez (la banchina)
- filmotype lasalle (nyhavn)
- bn axel grotesk (louisiana moma)
- hello storybook (ørstedsparken)
- alte haas grotesk (sans serif captions)

wanted to do something fun with my footage from cph and got inspired to make movie title cards for my fave places!

they ended up more like general typography pieces but it was still a fun exercise to make these mini vignettes~

fonts found on @adobe fonts & @creativemarket. edited in @canva & davinci resolve! filmed on @djiglobal osmo pocket 3 & iPhone 17 pro.

comment “SUPPLIES” and i’ll send you my supplies list so you can make your own!

pouch journal how-to for folks who prefer to read instead of watching a quick-cut reel :)

you can also check my link in bio for the supplies list :)

note: this guide is for 2 notebooks. you can punch an extra set of vertical holes to add 3 notebooks.

surprisingly easy to attach. next time, i’d use a crimp tool rather than this one which requires hammering. hammering is probably easier to crimp the two together but it’s louder.

loop charms, beads, or buttons to your elastics!

perfect for carrying colored pencils and pens!

hopefully my commenting automation works, if not peep my link in bio (tho i will try manually sending you the link!!!)

📍 creative things to do in paris!!!

@maisonfleuret baking class
@cafepli for writing and decorating letters (and coffee ofc)
@museemarmottan - my fave museum in paris
@galimard_parfumeur perfume workshop for something unique
@merciparis for souvenir shopping!!

i know ppl have different takes on paris but i personally think it’s accurately rated. lots to do, beautiful spaces, good (and diverse!!) food options, good public transport.

what’s not to love? (other than the lack of A/C in a lot of places 🫩)

fave place for a weekend getaway in so cal!!

@sbfishmarket is a must. get there ~11AM when the fishing boat gets back for fresh uni & oysters.

fancy coffee. DO NOT get the matcha latte, it seems they don’t whisk the matcha powder in hot water and just dump it into milk 🫩

SEA-inspired cuisine. good drinks, recommend the fried chicken & baos.

i luv @sbbotanicgarden!! well-maintained with views of redwoods, mountains, ponds and more!!! there were some cute summer camp structures as well.

pleasantly surprised by how yummy this was. recommend the sesame salad and szechuan beef noodles!!

sb is known as a popular kitesurfing spot due to how windy it can get.

lively bars, breweries, and restaurants in the funk zone. perfect way to wind down the evening!

until next time, santa barbara!

the creative spiral always has me grappling with seasons where i’m feeling stuck. and in the end, it’s just me vs. me (the overthinker, perfectionist, my own worst critic).

so here’s how i tried to get out of it this time!

workshops:
- sewing @gold3nspiral
- metalworking @sugarmetalcustoms
- cake decorating @theeclovery x @ladieswho__
