Let’s rewind it back to SDCC 2025! 📼 This is still one of the top 5 coolest events I’ve ever done, and what better time to share it than the week after 135,000 people visited San Diego for SDCC 2026?!

For this event, I was hired to put together a team of 8 talented lettering artists to personalized almost 8000 bucket hats and belt bags in a matter of 4 days at @comic_con

📝 Our activation was part of @abbottelemabc’s annual Block Party, which included a Ferris wheel, the best hype guy around (s/o @iamrubinervin), Rita’s “wudder-ice,” collectible pins, digital portraits, photo moments every step of the way, and best of all — custom hand lettered bucket hats and belt bags!

That’s where I came in! My team was set up in Abbott’s Lost & Found, where guests could get their items written on “so they’d never be lost again!” Our station was adorned with iconic knickknacks from the show, a cafeteria table, and writing tables — every single detail was an ode to Abbott.

💻 We used a digitized system to take orders, track items, and create a streamlined customization process to reduce wait times and work efficiently (while also effectively.)

We became characters — hyping up the crowd, dancing to the music, welcoming guests as they arrived, and using our “teacher” voices when necessary to locate the lost items’ persons. 🤪

We even got to meet the cast!! They were all GEMS and I loved dancing with Mr. Johnson, who is honestly exactly like the character he plays.

If you’re looking to bring a fun and personalized experience to your big event, I can help with that! Send me a DM, email, or click that contact form to get the process started. I’m ready to bring the vibes and the quality work! 🤩✨🎨

✿ june recap ✿

I intended to slow down in June, but it ended up being a busy, event-filled month.

I met so many amazing people, experimented with new offerings, vended my first 10x10 booth, and hosted a dream workshop. Putting myself out there and trying new things has been incredibly daunting, especially as someone who thrives on routine and structured plans🫪 But stepping outside of my comfort zone has been incredibly fulfilling and full of wonderful surprises.

July will be a little quieter as I ramp up for August. Excited for what the next few months will bring✨️

For over twelve years, I have used @passionplanner as my planner and a form of journal. The first time I tried it, it was my pastoral internship in Buffalo 716 and they sent me a jpg draft to try out. Ever since then #passionplanner has been my goto tool to navigate all aspects of life. This year I choose the koi pond designby @stellateart (academic calendar July/June) and was delighted with the stickers from artist @eatmashimaro and @daysfullof they sent as a surprise bonus. Here’s to a new planning year blending art with daily life!

for in bloom, we sourced whole candy stripe beets from @olivewoodgardens — and used every part

the juice was reduced into a beet molasses, incorporated into two dishes on the menu. the pulp was dehydrated and crumbled to create an edible “soil” served on top of a panna cotta dessert

we served the dessert with hope, planting seeds of dreams for a better future

every guest left with real seedlings, also grown by the students at Olivewood

whole ingredients, zero waste, grown and eaten in community

sharing some initial moments from our immersive spring pop-up 🌸

in bloom: a multi-sensory gathering exploring pollination through movement, exchange, and discovery

edible installations of giant flower crackers and dips to pair

surprising bites inspired by flavors of spring, with our kadayif bird’s nest with tofu cream and lacto-fermented kumquats from the garden featured here

no rules other than to be curious, playful, engage all senses for the afternoon, immersed in the beautiful @olivewoodgardens space

@drinkeste provided amazing seasonal tea mocktails, and @daysfullof complimented our food with her beautiful floral design

@kailarojales @ellyzadawn thank you for the photography, capturing the afternoon perfectly ✨

food is never just food.

it shapes health, culture, community, and the way we relate to one another.

we created our collective foods because we wanted to explore food as something more—
as a medium for storytelling, connection, and change

in bloom was the first chapter

this is only the beginning 🌿
