What does Sankalpa really mean? 🕉️
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Have you ever set an intention from a deeper place within yourself?
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

In Sanskrit, Sankalpa (संकल्प) can be understood as a heartfelt intention, resolve, or inner commitment.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

It comes from sam — “together, complete, aligned” — and kalpa — related to intention, resolve, or a way of proceeding.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

In the yogic tradition, a Sankalpa is not simply a goal or something we want to achieve.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

It is an intention rooted in our deeper values — a conscious decision about how we want to live, feel, and show up in the world.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Instead of saying:
❌ “I want to become stronger.”
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

We might connect with:
✨ “I am strong, grounded, and present.”
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Your Sankalpa becomes a reminder of the direction you want your life and your practice to take.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Take a few minutes, breathe, listen within… and ask yourself:
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

What is my deepest intention right now? 🤍
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

🕉️ Your intention is not something you force. It is something you remember.
