Meet BOOM BOOM! 🔊

Thank you to everyone who sent in ideas. You all brought the creativity (and the jokes. Our deputies read every single one 😄).

Keep an eye out for Boom Boom at community events around Douglas County. You'll definitely hear it coming.

Today, the Douglas County Sheriff's Office says goodbye to K-9 Sita.

For 15 years and across two agencies, Carroll County and Douglas County, Sita served beside her handler and partner, Deputy Chad Sheriff. Shift after shift, call after call, she showed up ready to work, and she never stopped giving everything she had.

To Chad, Sita was never just a partner. She was family. She rode beside him every day and went home with him every night.

Chad, there is no easy way to say goodbye to a partner like her. Your DCSO family stands with you, today and always.

Rest easy, Sita. Your watch is over. We'll take it from here.

Question of the Day:
It's National Hero Day! 🦸 We're not asking for anything dramatic. If you could have ONE superpower just to make your daily commute through Douglas County easier, what would it be?
Teleportation past I-20 traffic? The power to make every light turn green? Bonus points for creativity.
