Some people become fluent in the grammar of everyone else’s happiness,
while their own sorrow remains an unspoken dialect.

They arrive where they are needed,
even when something within them is quietly departing.

They make tenderness look effortless,
and conceal the archaeology of their own ruins.

Ask the ones who perpetually say, “I’m fine,”
how much of that fine is merely well-rehearsed fiction.

They carry everyone’s weather,
yet seldom mention the storm gathering behind their own eyes.

Perhaps the most exhausted souls
are simply the ones who never learned how to be inconveniently unhappy.

Perhaps this is the feeling Kishore da was talking about.

Some journeys aren’t meant to take you somewhere. They simply bring you back to yourself. ❤️

Taverekere, BTM.

By day, these roads barely let the city breathe,
horns, traffic, hurried faces, a thousand lives trying to outrun the clock.

Google Map Navigation looks like someone has spilled a little Banarasi paan across the asphalt.

And then comes the night.

The same roads turn quiet.
The red lights glow softly, almost dreamlike, far from fright.

5… 4… 3… 2… 1…

and the light turns green, as if the city itself is whispering chalo, ab thoda jee lo.

No destination worth mentioning.
Just a late night coffee, maybe a classic hot chocolate, and one of those very few Starbucks still awake at 2 AM.

All day, we work.
We build. We chase. We respond. We rush.
And somewhere between deadlines and dreams, we forget what it feels like to simply… Be.

Then, for twenty five minutes, you step out.

The breeze finds you.
The city finally quietens.
An old Kishore da song lingers somewhere in the background.

And suddenly, Sukoon doesn’t feel like a distant idea anymore.

It feels like an empty road.
A green signal.
A little coffee.
A lot of khamoshi.
And a night you didn’t plan, but somehow needed. ❤️

Maybe India was never meant to be celebrated only in the noise. 🇮🇳

It’s 9 in the evening.
The day is almost over. The feeds are full of flags, songs, speeches and celebrations. And somewhere in Bengaluru, beneath this quiet sky, the tricolour is still moving.

No crowd. No slogans. No grand moment.

Just the wind, doing what it has always done.
The birds, returning home as they always do.
The sky, holding the same vastness it held yesterday.
And that flag, still breathing with the evening.

Perhaps this is what freedom looks like too.

Not always loud.
Sometimes, it is simply the freedom to stand beneath your own sky, look up, and feel something you cannot quite put into words.

Today, India turned 80.

And while the celebrations slowly fade into the night,
she remains, quietly breathing, endlessly becoming, beautifully ours. 🇮🇳

Happy Independence Day, India.
Perhaps I’m late to post it.
But some feelings don’t belong to a particular hour. ❤️
