I want to say a huge thank you to everyone who came out to support me at the reception for my series Archive in the Wild at the SLCC Eccles Mini Gallery. It was such a special and meaningful experience, and I am incredibly grateful to everyone who helped make it possible. This exhibition truly would not have happened without the love and support of my wonderful friends and family. I feel so blessed to have so many amazing people in my life who continue to encourage me, believe in me, and support my artistic journey. A very special thank you to Randy for making this opportunity possible. Your creativity is incredible, and I am so grateful for the way you have helped me take my art to the next level. Thank you for always being one of my biggest cheerleaders, right alongside my Mum. To my amazing Mum and Dad, thank you for always supporting and encouraging me in my artistic work. I truly could not be where I am today without you. Your love and belief in me have meant everything throughout my journey. To my wonderful friends who have helped, encouraged, and supported me throughout all of my projects, thank you from the bottom of my heart. Your support means more to me than you know. Even though I am a solo artist, I have learned that it truly takes a village. Every project, every opportunity, and every step forward is made even more meaningful because of the incredible people who stand beside me and cheer me on. I am so incredibly blessed to have such amazing people in my life. Thank you all for being part of my journey, believing in my art, and helping me continue to grow as an artist. ❤️🎨 by @de.izzy.art
I did an art trade with the incredibly talented @wingbrah_! Here’s the “lamp” I made for him using mostly secondhand and found materials. The base is an old skateboard deck, and the light fixture was something I already had lying around. One of my favorite things about making art from secondhand materials is that it makes creating feel more accessible and affordable. I also love how it pushes me to look at everyday objects differently and see the potential they have beyond their original purpose. There’s something really special about taking an object that already exists and giving it a completely new life through art. For this piece, I wanted to include little details that reminded me of Corbin and his creativity. The skateboard base felt especially fitting, and I added the cigarette in the skeleton’s mouth as another small reference to him. Corbin is such a talented artist, and it was really meaningful to make something for someone whose work and creativity I admire. I feel incredibly grateful for the community I’ve found through art. I’m lucky to be surrounded by so many talented and wonderful artists, and being around that creativity inspires me to keep making and continue pursuing art myself. I think art is such an important part of being human, whether you create it yourself or simply enjoy experiencing it. It gives us a way to express ourselves, see everyday things differently, and connect with one another. I’m really grateful that art has brought me into such a creative and inspiring community. #artist #art #sustainability #localartists #arttrade by @de.izzy.art
I had the incredible opportunity to create an installation to display my art series archive in the wild at the SLCC Eccles Mini Gallery, and I’m so incredibly happy and grateful to have been given this opportunity. 🤍 A huge thank you to Randy for making this possible. You truly helped me elevate this call box and transform it into the amazing display it is today. I’m so lucky that I got to work alongside you on this project. I learned so much from your skills, creativity, and craftsmanship, and I’m incredibly grateful for the time, guidance, and encouragement you gave me throughout the process. Thank you for helping make this display possible, for believing in my work, and for always being one of my biggest cheerleaders. I’m so happy I got the chance to bring this project to life and share my art in such a unique way. This opportunity means so much to me, and I’m incredibly grateful for everyone who helped make it happen. by @de.izzy.art

I’m so excited to share that my ongoing series, Archive in the Wild, will be on view at The Call Box Micro Gallery at Salt Lake Community College South City Campus! 🤍 ✨ Exhibition: Archive in the Wild 📍 The Call Box Micro Gallery Center for Art & Media Salt Lake Community College South City Campus 1575 S. 200 E. Salt Lake City, UT 84115 🗓 On view: August 13 to December 23, 2026 🎉 Opening Reception: Thursday, August 13 | 6 to 8 PM Archive in the Wild transforms reclaimed vintage televisions into living archives where memory, family, nature, and sustainability intersect. Built almost entirely from secondhand and found materials, each piece reimagines discarded technology as a miniature ecosystem, preserving stories while giving forgotten objects new life. Growing up, I loved building tiny worlds from found objects, and that curiosity has evolved into the work I create today. Each television explores themes of memory, family, inheritance, and renewal through immersive landscapes, vintage film slides, and animal skeletons that honor the natural cycle of life. Influenced by my experiences with grief and working in end of life care, this series invites viewers to reflect on what we preserve, what we leave behind, and how love and memory continue long after we’re gone. I’d love to celebrate this opening with you. Thank you to everyone who has supported me along the way. I can’t wait to share this exhibition. ❤️ by @de.izzy.art
Close up pics of my artwork “ Nurtured differently” Part of my ongoing series, Archive in the Wild, this piece is created from upcycled, secondhand, and found objects. I discovered this abandoned television during a road trip and transformed it into a vessel for exploring memory, family, and identity. Although I’m an only child, I’ve always been fascinated by sibling relationships, the closeness, conflict, loyalty, and complexity they can hold. This work explores how people can grow up in the same family yet experience it in completely different ways. At the center, a mother sheep watches over her young. A conjoined lamb symbolizes the deep, inseparable bonds between siblings, while a single lamb represents the quiet isolation that can exist within families. Together, they ask how much of who we become is inherited and how much is shaped by experience. Greek-inspired statues flank the lambs, reflecting how gender expectations and social conditioning can influence children differently, even within the same household. Inside the piece, two flower forms with eyes represent the different kinds of attention children may receive and how those experiences shape identity over time. Vintage sibling film slides weave through the work, reinforcing themes of shared history and individual experience. This piece is also rooted in my own family: my grandmother adopted six children, and despite sharing the same mother, each became a completely unique individual. Through Archive in the Wild, I transform forgotten objects into vessels for stories, memories, and reflection. Nurtured Differently is a reminder that even when we share the same roots, every person grows in their own way. #art #sustainability #localartists by @de.izzy.art

Behind the scenes of my latest piece in my ongoing series, Archive and the Wild. This work is titled Nurtured Differently. Made from secondhand and found objects, sustainability is at the heart of every TV I create. I’m interested in bringing together old technology and the natural world, transforming discarded objects into vessels for memory and reflection. These televisions become a way of preserving the past while giving forgotten materials a new purpose. By incorporating vintage film slides, I’m recycling memories in an age where so much of our lives exist only in digital form. It’s a way of reimagining the old into something new, honouring both the stories these objects carry and the importance of creating more sustainably. Huge thank you to my dear friend @trmuuk for helping me take apart of this Tv! You are such a gem 💎 #artist #art #sustainability #localartists by @de.izzy.art
Close up pics of my artwork “ Above the Canopy “ this id apart of my ongoing series called archive in the wild.Part of the Archive in the Wild series, this work transforms a reclaimed three foot tall television into a living archive where nature slowly reclaims forgotten technology. Built from repurposed and sustainable materials, it imagines a dreamlike place beyond the physical world where memory, family, and the natural world continue to exist together. Inside the television, a family of skeletal giraffes, our gentle giants, grazes peacefully beneath towering trees handcrafted from recycled book pages. The trees represent the stories, knowledge, and memories passed from one generation to the next, while the giraffes symbolize family, protection, resilience, and the ability to look beyond the present toward what lies ahead. The landscape is filled with moss, mushrooms, and lush greenery, suggesting that life continues long after human made objects have been abandoned. Scattered throughout the scene are blooming flowers with centers formed from classical Greek sculpture heads, merging nature with the remnants of human civilization. These figures speak to the lasting impact of art, culture, and the ideas we leave behind. Behind the giraffe family stands a towering wall of vintage film slides, preserving fragments of family memories like an archive suspended in time. Together, the film slides and the reclaimed television become vessels for remembrance, reminding us that although people pass on, the stories they tell, the love they share, and the lives they touch continue to shape future generations. Huge thank you to @bluesstreetcreations for helping me with the lighting and making this happen. You and your mind are amazing and you helped make this piece look so beautiful!! I could have not done it without you! And a huge thank you to @ansemom for showing me how to create and make the trees! am so lucky that you shared your creative genius with me. Thank you for everything you do! by @de.izzy.art

Close up pics of Archive in the Wild, is my ongoing series that repurposes obsolete technology into living capsules that preserve and honor memory. This piece, "The Burden of Protection"is a sustainable mixed-media artwork made from a reclaimed computer monitor, moss and greenery, vintage family film slides, deer models, and found materials. The reclaimed monitor becomes an archive for inherited experiences, exploring how memory, family, and trauma endure long after moments have passed. Inside, a family of deer carries arrows embedded in their bodies, symbolizing emotional wounds and generational trauma. The adult deer bear more arrows, reflecting accumulated burdens, while the fawns carry fewer, revealing how pain can still be passed down despite efforts to protect the next generation. Their translucent forms evoke the fragile, ghostlike nature of memory.Glowing vintage family slides surround the deer, representing fragments of family history that continue to shape identity across generations. At the center stands a reimagined Venus figure with antlers and a deer head, transformed into a protective maternal presence embodying nurture, survival, inherited identity, and the weight of carrying both love and pain. The moss and organic materials symbolize both decay and renewal, suggesting that while trauma can take root, healing and growth are always possible. By combining reclaimed technology, natural elements, family imagery, and symbolic figures, "The Burden of Protection" invites viewers to reflect on generational trauma while recognizing the resilience and transformation that can emerge from it. by @de.izzy.art
