Last week of the most special project, Minimal Legends in the heart of Venice.

For five months, an art built on refusal has found its most unexpected home: the Baroque opulence of the Venetian private residence and foundation of Vincenzo and Claudia Rose De Cotiis. The canonical voices of 1960s Minimalism, curated by Lawrence van Hagen and Claudia Rose, in unprecedented dialogue with the palazzo and Vincenzo De Cotiis's contemporary practice.

Rediscovering some of these incredible artists last week made me think back to the Venice Biennale in May.

An immense love to @hollisbobolis for taking us on the most special experience of the Sandretto Island in Venice. An island is always a political statement, establishing a boundary, protecting what it contains. For centuries the island of San Giacomo was used exactly for this purpose. Today the same island, in the hands of Patrizia Sandretto and Agostino Re Rebaudengo, transformed into a space for imagination, traversed by art and by the most urgent questions of our time. The utopia that was created was born from a radical reading of the present making visible the insufficiencies of the existing world.
