Janus, appropriately titled after the Roman god of beginnings, is the inaugural exhibition at Palazzo Diedo, a new contemporary arts space in Venice established by Berggruen Arts & Culture. For the exhibition, curated by Mario Codognato, eleven international artists—Urs Fischer, Piero Golia, Carsten Höller, Liu Wei, Ibrahim Mahama, Mariko Mori, Sterling Ruby, Jim Shaw, Hiroshi Sugimoto, Aya Takano, and Lee Ufan—have conceived site-specific interventions in response to the architecture and original features of the eighteenth-century building designed by the acclaimed Venetian architect Andrea Tirali. The Polaroid Foundation has also contributed a special project that invites the participating artists to create an original work using the Polaroid 20×24, the world’s largest instant camera.

✨A full-circle moment ✨ Diwali dinner hosted by the lovely @gauravikumari with @jimmychoo @JamavarLondon, the very restaurant I’ve poured my heart into for almost a decade, yet never actually attended an event at… until now 💫

To finally sit down as a guest (for once!) and celebrate the flavours that shaped me felt truly special. From golden aloo tikkis, smoky Bhatti ka paneer, tender Murg Tikka Kesari to a slow-cooked hearty rarah gosht and our winter berries rasmalai to finish: every dish a love letter to India’s royal past.

And yet in that room, filled with warmth, laughter, was an incredible energy of contemporary India: bold and brilliant, where our heritage shone in a new light and blended tradition and modernity so seamlessly. 🇮🇳✨

Thank you as always @chefsurendermohan. So proud of our incredible team @lslcapital for bringing it all to life so beautifully ❤️

Пересматриваю наши фотографии из Бутана. Какая же интересная поездка вышла!

Много лет мы мечтали съездить в эту страну, историческое и культурное наследие которой впечатляет. Путешествие я подгадала под 50-летие Бориса, который не хотел устраивать большой и пышный праздник в Москве, а на такую необычную поездку согласился. Наши друзья сразу поддержали идею, потому что в Бутане никто не был.

Надо сказать, что в Бутане вообще мало кто был: страна была закрыта для туристов вплоть до 1970 года: желающим приехать на Землю Громового Дракона (у королевства есть и такое название, бутанцы верят, что дракон живет в недоступных горах и охраняет их от зла) необходимо было личное разрешение короля. Сейчас путешествие для иностранцев доступно исключительно в составе туристических групп.

20 лет назад сеть Aman начали открывать здесь свои первые лоджи-отели @amankorabhutan, которых сейчас уже 5 в пяти долинах. Они же организуют для туристов поездки под ключ с полным погружением. Для этого надо просто написать в отель и договориться с ними об этом. Команда разрабатывает индивидуальные маршруты, которые, в том числе, включают перемещение из одного лоджи-отеля в другой, чтобы увидеть как можно больше. Сервис - потрясающий, вкуснейшая еда, все продумано до мельчайших деталей. Мы успели побывать в трех долинах, вдохновились, узнали много нового и наполненные вернулись покорять новые вершины!

Борис сказал, что это был тот День рождения, о котором он мечтал. Бутан - одно из интереснейших мест, которые есть на нашей планете. Очень рекомендую рассмотреть как направление для путешествия тем, кто как и мы, всегда голосует за приключения, новые эмоции и впечатления.
