POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

What a week it has been! Makynna and Demi both had the incredible opportunity to experience the Junior Olympics and compete alongside some of the nation’s best youth track & field athletes.

Makynna competed in the 100m and Long Jump:
100m — 44th of 83
Long Jump — 18th

Demi competed in the 800m:
🏃🏾‍♀️ 800m — 62nd

The results are only a small part of the story. Watching their growth, confidence, and ability to handle the pressure of competing on such a big stage was something special. They also had the opportunity to see and compete alongside other talented athletes from our local communities, which made the experience even more meaningful.

For once, I got to simply be Dad. I stepped back from coaching and let them enjoy the moment, take it all in, and experience what it feels like to compete on one of the biggest stages in youth track & field.

They felt the pressure. They experienced the nerves. They learned. They grew.

And I truly believe they’ll be back. 💯

They’ll be back representing their families, their communities, their schools, and all the people who continue to believe in them.
