Dead Trax proudly presents Basma's debut EP "Bobo at 20" (DDTX006): four tracks spanning low-slung breaks, dark rhythmic journeys and mind-bending electro, all held together by an obsession with bass weight and forward motion.The title track opens with atmosphere and patience. Slow-burning breaks that get the hips moving while the brain is still chasing the low end. "Sliver" takes a darker path, tribal percussion leading through dense undergrowth until the forest clears and an industrial landscape reveals itself in steel and concrete. On the B-side, "Left Behind" splits the difference between electro and hypnosis, pulling your attention in two directions at once, one half locked to the bass, the other lost in the melody.
