Kitchen update 9 months later.. it’s still fabulous 🤪
A little more lived in and used but still nothing we would change. (Apart from getting some art on the walls)

Built us some wardrobes 🙃

We’ve had various rails, plastic tubs and temporary closet combos for the last 3 years so it’s amazing to finally have a permanent place to hide everything away. (Swipe to the end to see a couple of examples)

Wardrobes details:
19mm oak veneer mdf for all doors and cabinets
2 coats of boiled linseed oil
Draws are birch ply

Meet Dean Khalil (b. 1985, United Kingdom) who lives and works in Norwich. He’ll be showing his work in our upcoming studio presentation in Hackney later this week.

Dean’s recent work explores scenes from everyday life and the people around him. Through stark portraiture and compositions of familiar, collected objects, he captures a sense of the personal and the unfamiliar.

These are personal observations, deliberately imperfect. Playing with colour, weight and the uncanny, his work captures objects and spaces through the lens of a memory, somewhat misremembered. The result is a sense of comfortable unease, where the familiar feels just slightly out of place.

My solo show ‘No further questions’ opened Friday and I am so thankful for everyone who made it down! The show runs till 7th of October.
