What you see on the stage is a small fraction of what goes into these performances. What happens in the studio, is only a part of who we are. Everything we do outside the studio uniquely contributes to what ends up on stage. I am in awe of us all. I hope you can see what we have done. I was so nervous for this photo shoot because I just never know what I am going to do in front of the camera. I can be very hard on myself but I have gotten kinder! I don't pick at every detail with a negative eye. I try to look at myself as a human being representing ME and not the idea of a human that does not actually exist. Now I can find details in photos of me that I like! I love that you can see my newest tattoo by Olivia Hogan (all visible tattoos by Olivia 😂) and I don't know what my fingers are doing but they add a cool shape. 🪄 Regardless, I did something that made me nervous and uncomfortable but helped me grow and appreciate myself. RDE gives me that opportunity regularly. Whether it is in the classroom, in rehearsal or on the stage, I am always growing bit by bit. Sometimes I look back and realize what I learned because I could not understand it in that moment. I am so grateful for what this company gives us, our community and myself. Thank you to everyone who has already donated during Give Big Gallatin Valley and to those who have yet to contribute. As the countdown to Metal & Mozart begins, we have come full circle in our 9th year, and premiering Metal & Mozart @theellentheatre, August 22nd & 23rd. We are looking forward to sharing the stage with @galvanist playing their original compositions live, and pianist @ksnaig .
