Feel very grateful that I got another shot at this Gottardo classic. Tried it a couple days on the first leg of the trip but couldn’t commit on the last move then wrote it off thinking it would be too cold and/or snowy later in the trip when we would be in Ticino. But the weather held out and we made it happen! • Suworow 7B+, San Gottardo/Gotthard Pass, Switzerland 🇨🇭

@simonjonlynes has been a fly on the wall this past year, getting to know us while we worked towards the premier of Metal & Mozart. We are honored that he chose to collaborate with us, engaged in telling our story, and encapsulated these fleeting moments for us to celebrate forever. Thank you Simon! This is a little teaser we screened at the show. Stay tuned for his full length version of RDE’s season of “Unleashing the Beast.” Thank you all for letting us create this project for you that brought creative minds and hearts together ♥️

What a treat to photograph their most recent vision and collaboration with Galvanist. Bonus to have MFT at my side shooting too. Grateful for Art. Grateful for Artists. Grateful to the ones the support them. @raisondetredanceproject @galvanist.arcana @theellentheatre @wfmft

Metal & Mozart, I called it a mid-life thesis. I reveled in every minute of it. While the production process is always the same, the culture of each show changes. You get to work closely with people for such a short time, you grow bonds to each other. Then it’s over and I miss them, and that version of self, and the show we call home because we are so immersed. My childhood best friend @laurenelainecoleman captured some magic during the last show. She and I used to dance in pointe shoes in her mom’s living room to Rage Against the Machine. Years later, I’m still at it, and she got to be here for it. Thanks for being there and seeing me friend ♥️

I can’t begin to describe the commitment, intensity, and passion that has gone into 3 years of creating METAL+MOZART. Through the ephemeral moments of live performance, we are trying to create empathy in real time between the performers and the audience. Telling our individual stories through collective themes that we explore through movement and music, sharing a visceral experience. It is a tremendous honor to get to do this with a group of the most creative, strongest, bravest people I know. We’ve done these major productions once every 4 years. Don’t miss it 🖤 METAL+MOZART this weekend, 8.22 7pm 8.23 3pm at The Ellen Theatre All photos by @simonjonlynes

What you see on the stage is a small fraction of what goes into these performances. What happens in the studio, is only a part of who we are. Everything we do outside the studio uniquely contributes to what ends up on stage. I am in awe of us all. I hope you can see what we have done. Magic in the studio ✨ Amazed that everyone had space to learn a little more choreography despite our brains overflowing with movement from our upcoming show and never ending to-do lists.
