Posters are up across Japan! 🇯🇵

A huge thank you to everyone who helped get these out, and to all the shops making space for BESPOKED on their walls.

It’s very exciting to see the show appearing around Japan.

23 days until these doors open. 🇯🇵

Built in 1923 on the Osaka waterfront, the red-brick warehouses of the G LION Museum are about to look a little different.

Bikes and builders are coming in from across Japan and around the world for the first BESPOKED Osaka - taking over this incredible space for three days.

Not long now.

1923年、大阪のウォーターフロントに建てられた赤レンガ倉庫「G LION Museum」が、まもなくいつもとは少し違う表情を見せます。

日本各地、そして世界中から自転車とビルダーが集結し、記念すべき第1回「BESPOKED Osaka」が開催されます。

この素晴らしい空間を3日間に渡り舞台とし、ここでしか出会えない自転車と人々が集います。

For the last few years I’ve made it to @ohsoretroevents in palm bay. I guess im a show pervert. I can’t get enough of shows so when I’m not at bike shows I’m snooping around other shows. I love this event because there’s room for everyone from people In super cars to kids modding junk. People get creative with their weird hobby and that’s amazing. I’m allways in awe of the weird hot rods that have been built from scratch- because like…. How did that happen? How did a car get so weird and what are they for? They look fun, and that’s great. I a lot love the range of colours and graphics and designer interiors. Basically I’m a bertone fan. Against all odds we won a prize with the @bespoked.cc Daimler. Im not sure how or why we were picked out from the 1700 cars on display, but we were and I like that. It was probably the bikes on the roof. Thanks @sour.bicycles and @bromptonunitedkingdom and to all the @bespoked.cc show sponsors, as well as @hermeticsignco for painting all the logos! #awardwinning lol by @dear_susan_

ONE MONTH TO GO - BESPOKED OSAKA 🇯🇵

In just over a month, BESPOKED arrives in Japan for the first time.

From 23–25 October, the @glionmuseum in Osaka will bring together an incredible line-up of framebuilders, makers and brands from Japan and around the world - showcasing some of the world’s finest handmade bicycles, components and accessories.

We’re incredibly excited to bring these different cultures, approaches and ideas together, and to create a new meeting point for the international handmade bicycle community.

With the full show programme taking shape, there’s a lot more to share over the coming weeks - from special projects and collaborations with some incredible brands, to rides, films, talks, food, drink and events around the city.

We want BESPOKED Osaka to be about more than what’s inside the show: a chance to experience the craft, hospitality and culture that make Japan such an important place for us to bring BESPOKED.

Tickets will be on sale very soon.

10月23日〜25日、大阪・GLION MUSEUMに、国内外から素晴らしいフレームビルダー、作り手、ブランドが集結。世界最高峰のハンドメイド自転車をはじめ、コンポーネント、アクセサリーが一堂に会します。

異なる文化、そしてものづくりへのアプローチが大阪で交わり、世界のハンドメイド自転車コミュニティがつながる。
そんな新しい場をつくれることを、心から楽しみにしています。

開催までの数週間は、プログラムをはじめ、素晴らしいブランドとのスペシャルプロジェクトやコラボレーション、ライド、映画、トーク、そして大阪の街で楽しむフードやドリンクなど、さまざまなコンテンツを続々とお知らせしていきます。

BESPOKED OSAKAは、会場の中だけで完結するイベントではありません。

Ahead of BESPOKED’s inaugural edition in Osaka this October, Petor Georgallou travelled to Japan to explore a bicycle culture shaped by a remarkable relationship between material, craft, industry and sport.

Tamahagane: A Story of Japanese Steel traces steel from its almost mythological roots in Japan through keirin racing, some of the country’s most celebrated makers and the culture surrounding the steel bicycle today.

At the centre of the film is the making of a bicycle by @cherubim_official Senichi Kono - an NJS framebuilder and head of the Tokyo College of Cycle Design - bringing traditional methods together with contemporary ideas and technology.

Following the screening, Petor is joined by Kimura-san, head of SimWorks, and Paul Declercq of Slow Spin Society for a conversation that goes beyond the bike itself: Japanese cycling culture, the relationship between heritage and innovation, and why Japan felt like the natural place for the next chapter of BESPOKED.

A new country, a young family and a new career in framebuilding.

@santa_clara_bikes is one of this year’s @sramroad x BESPOKED Inclusivity Scholars.

Originally from Zimbabwe, he came to framebuilding in his mid-40s, leaving a career as a school music teacher to start again and build bikes professionally.

In his Scholarship film, he talks about leaving Zimbabwe and adapting to life in Europe, what he misses about home, and taking the risk of changing direction at a point in life when starting again isn’t necessarily the easy option.

Vincent Morassi of @morassiframes is one of this year’s @sramroad Inclusivity Scholars.

Based in Vienna, Vincent has been building from their own workshop for the past six years, specialising in custom steel and stainless-steel frames across all kinds of two-wheelers.

For Vincent, the Scholarship is an opportunity to put their work in front of a wider audience, while being part of the framebuilding community exactly as they are.

I couldn’t resist a few frames at the 2026 @bromptonunitedkingdom world championships. I had a super fun time MCing, catching up with some old heads and making new friends. From kooky lineups to ultra competitive racing, as well as Bromptons customised every which way, it was a great day out. Thanks to @bromptonbicycle for arranging the excellent weather. And now…. Of the Germany for @bespoked.cc honk if you see us limping along in a limo covered in bikes! by @dear_susan_
