Thank you @suzettesmarttextiles for a lovely day. I really enjoyed spending the day stitching with @remixcreatives . This is the start of exploring the theme ‘Elements’ - I think there’s going to be lots more stitching this year. Also thank you to @louisa_boyd for your insightful mentoring with our group , your advice is really helpful and I’m very excited to get to work developing the theme in drawing, stitch and painting over the year ahead! ‘Golden’, parched grass over the summer. It’s good to see the world green again before the autumn. #lamdscapepainting by @deb.kemp.art

‘Elements’ - start of a new theme for the year with @remixcreatives . Paintings in response to a day walking in the summer - we set off unaware that we were just a valley and a hill away from wild fires across the moorland. The valley I was walking in filled with smoke. It was a very unnerving experience. by @deb.kemp.art

Little paintings inspired by sketching this summer, when the world turned yellow, everything was parched. It seems like a long time ago now the world has returned to green. by @deb.kemp.art

I’ve been working on these little landscapes over the last few weeks, now finished & I’m hoping the paint will be dry in time to frame them ready for @oxtonartfair . Oils on very lovely oil paper. Might be my excuse for turning on the heating…. #landscapepainting by @deb.kemp.art

I made these little sketches after a day walking along the coastal path in the summer. I’m now exploring developing them into larger paintings ….why stop at just one sketch. It’s like anything - practice, practice …. & ideas start to bubble to the surface. #angleseycoastalpath #sketching by @deb.kemp.art

I’ve had a great morning in Conwy at @orieldawn , a gorgeous gallery. I am thrilled that Dawn will be exhibiting my cards, prints and original paintings …watch this space. If you are in the area please do pop in. It’s a lovely gallery & I am really pleased to be showing my work along side other artists I admire. (I snuck in #conwyparkrun on my way and was treated to some stunning views on my way around the course. That’s why I go so slowly - all the photos I take mid run!) #conwy #artforyourwalls #independentgallery #parkruntourist by @deb.kemp.art
