​Marshalling at the Malle Mile hits different. 🏁⚡️ ​From spectating in 2024 and hitting the Beach Race earlier this year, to my first time marshalling at the Malle Mile… what an absolute ride. 🏁⚡️ ​It’s been such a pleasure stepping behind the scenes for a change. Between making brilliant new friends, rarely sitting still, unlocking new skills, and putting old ones to work, I almost even enjoyed the camping and partying in such an incredible spot. Work smart, not hard! 🧠⚡️ If you can’t beat ’em, join ’em. ​They say memories are more valuable than possessions, and right now, I have true wealth in my heart. ❤️ Without hesitation, I’ll be back for more. ​Massive shoutout to everyone who took me under their wing, helped me settle in, and shared the experience with me. 🏁 Helmet on, Visor down 🏁 Last year I said, "If the opportunity comes, I'm leaving." The road opened, so I walked it for my own peace. Some reacted like they'd swallowed a pint of sick. Others saw a woman finally choosing herself. Truth is, in male dominated industries, women aren't "equal." We're tolerated... until we're not. Praised... until we speak. Supported... until someones ego gets bruised. Here's what I've personally dealt with: 🚫 Narcissistic "Authority." 🚫 Mansplaining. 🚫 "Banter" masking toxicity. 🚫 Gaslighting. 🚫 Bullying as culture. 🚫 Everyday sexism. 🚫 Verbal abuse. 🚫 The silent boy's club doing nothing. These "small" behaviours, the jokes, the comments, the tones, the shrugs are the foundation for bigger violence. That's the reality. You know the momments: 🚩 The joke that wasn't funny. 🚩 The comment stuck in your head. 🚩 The tone that twisted your stomach. 🚩 The blank stare. 🚩 The lazy shrug. 🚩 The "just ignore him." 🚩 The " we'll keep you apart" instead of fixing it. 🚩 The way your safety becomes an inconvenience. So what do we do? Shrink. Walk on eggshells. Keep going. Because they assume we can take it. But the real choice? Accept it. Challenge it. Or more my favourite, match the energy and remind them your not the one to test. Choosing yourself will always be the most rebellious move 🧿💙💣💥 Sharing stories like this matter because silence protects the behaviour but honesty exposes it, gives other women language for their experiences and reminds them they're not dealing with it alone 🫂 by @deb_bora_

{[ Special Kind Of Soul ]} You have been brave your entire life. It's not that you wanted to be, but life gave you no other option. For a while, it wasn't the easiest way to manoeuvre through, but it didn't matter the way your heart tore, you took your tattered edges and put them together and formed a beautiful mosaic. You don't like to flaunt it very much, because the time it took to piece yourself together was in and itself a battle. ​We’ve all heard the advice: "Ladies, navigate the world with the unearned audacity of a mediocre white man." Apply for the roles you’re only 60% ready for, take up space, and stop apologising. ​But why are women forced to build behavioural armour just to exist safely? ​If a man treats loyalty like a joke, plays games, and relies on deception, stop telling yourself "He has a good heart." You are wrong. Stop translating disrespect into hidden potential. Look closely at my vest top. The hidden phrase is the daily reality of a culture built on deception: ​S H E B E L I E V E D H E L I E D ​The problem isn’t that women haven’t spoken up, it’s that the system hasn't listened. Violence and harassment against women is a men’s issue that manifests as a women’s problem. It thrives in private spaces, including the group chats, and the jokes where women aren’t there to push back. You cannot challenge the behaviour in rooms you aren’t invited into. ​This isn't an attack on men, it’s a direct line to accountability. Secure, content, and truly confident men are never threatened by these conversations. They don’t get defensive, shut down, or mock a woman’s reality because they fear it will overshadow them. ​To the men reading this: Close your eyes and imagine your future daughter dating a partner who treats people exactly the way you do right now. ​Did you smile? ​If you felt a knot in your stomach instead, then change. They say the best way to learn is to throw yourself into the deep end. So, last weekend, I took @eddiefreestone camera's to @oultonparkofficial. Between the speed of the track and the challenge of capturing the perfect frame, it was a massive weekend of learning. I made mistakes, I figured things out, and most importantly, I started making art. This is step one of a long journey, and I’m excited to share it here.
