Introducing my ACOTAR royal editions 👑 ✨ 🌹

I have created this design so that these rebinds are made using hardbacks, so when books 6 & 7 are released over the next six months, I can add to my ACOTAR rebinds straight away ❤️

It’s taken me so long to decide on a design for these! My original paperback rebinds have been so popular and they are just sooo simple - so I’ve tried to keep these quite simple too!

The book cloth is a beautifully soft faux suede that I’ve recently discovered from Ratchford - and it is simply stunning. I want to use it on every rebind going forward!! I’m hoping to use a purple for one of the new ACOTAR books too 💜

And they are finished with a gold vinyl and floral endpapers - the colours are just perfection 🩷

This Inevitable Ruin 💥

I finished book 7 of the #dungeoncrawlercarl series last week before release of book 8 this week - and I loved it!

So here is my This Inevitable Ruin design (alongside the rest of the series) - one of the first things I wrote down when I was taking notes whilst listening was the reference to a ‘Rapunzel tower’ so I absolutely had to make the most of that ✨ so this design is a bit like a fairytale… with some missiles and a volcano thrown in 💥

I feel very lucky to have this space, especially at this time of year - it is absolutely perfect for lighting a candle, snuggling under a blanket and picking up my book 📖 I adore autumn 🍂

How many projects to have ongoing at the same time is too many…? Asking for a friend 😅

As a book binder, the answer to this question is there isn’t a number high enough!! This is only a handful of the projects that I’m actively working on right now. I have three boxes of books purely ready for rebinding and about 1000 designs on Canva that I’ve started and not finished.

And tonight I finally have an idea for Not Another Love Song by Julie Soto (love her) so I’ll be designing that when my children are in bed! And depending on how that goes, I’ll probably start a new project tomorrow morning 😅😆

Working on a slightly updated Crescent City design as I’m listening to the graphic audios currently! Using the faux suede book cloth from @ratchford_fj - any new rebinds are made with this book cloth because I’m OBSESSED 🤩

The CC graphic audios are AMAAAAAZING! Highly recommend them 🎧

I have about 10% left of HOFAS and my Crescent City reread is complete. And then I just need to pick up ACOSF and my SJM reread is done ✅

I don’t actually own this set for myself but they look so good on my SJM shelf (shrine)… I have my standard colour rebinds which I LOVE (see top shelf)! But there is something about this pink ombré set that I adore and I’ll definitely need them on my own shelf one day!

My new obsession! I’ve treated myself (well, my business) to a new Cricut Maker 5, mainly so I can test out the chipboard cutting function… and I love it!

I normally hand cut my board to create hardcovers, so this is saving me time and also ensuring my cuts are absolutely perfect 👌 it uses a Cricut knife blade and I do wonder how long the blade itself will last…

Has anyone used this blade on their Cricut before? I’d love to hear your thoughts! 🩷
