Georges Jouve, "Banane" coupe, c. 1955. 🍌

The green, the flashes of white, the fine crackle across the glaze. Signed with Jouve's cypher, and in excellent condition with no chips or restorations.

Jouve was one of the defining ceramic artists of 1950s France, and pieces like this show why. This one measures 13.5" x 9.5" and stands 3.75" high.

This piece has found its new home, but we have more French ceramics in the shop. 🔴
