So back in 2025 I was very excited to have a couple of images shortlisted in Amateur Photographer of the Year.

Here we are in 2026, and although I didn't make the top 10 in the B&W category, I was thrilled to bits to be in the "Best of the Rest", where each of the judges choose their favourite image 😀

One of the great things about a group shoot is the opportunity to experiment.

This event by @tabithaboydell (The House of the Damned) was jam-packed with impeccable styling, amazing models, and frankly the creepiest building I've been in since I found myself in Blackburn Yates' Wine Lodge at closing time in 1987.

These were a couple of attempts at in-camera double-exposure, with @haijinxx bringing the Weeping Angel drama. More to come. Be afraid, be very afraid....

It was such a privilege and delight to photograph The Rt. Hon. Shabana Mahmood MP for the @rpswomeninphotography 40% Project.

Despite holding one of the most pressured positions in the country, Shabana was an absolute delight to work with. (It was also SOOOO hot in Westminster that day)

The 40% project is documenting a pivotal moment in female representation in Parliament (yes, you guessed it, 40% of MPs are now female).

We have until the end of July to raise enough funds to publish a book and capture the 265 women who are making history. Please help if you can - even a small donation will help us towards our target.

After the 2024 General Election, women made up a record 40% of MPs, the highest level in British history. I was really proud to be part of the project that set out to capture this moment, run by @rpswomeninphotography. It was a privilege working alongside 130 incredible women photographers, each with their own unique take on portraiture.

I personally had the best time getting to know @liliangreenwoodmp and @rachel.taylor.mp, both of whom were a delight to work with. Like all the MPs, they chose the location and their favourite portrait, making it a true collaboration.

We're now publishing the collection as a hardback photobook, funded via Kickstarter. Multiple pledge levels are available, including prints and more.

Back the Kickstarter now, help us turn this archive into a lasting record.
