Sold. EDGELORD: a copper and enamel centerpiece with variegated edge by Sansone Studio, late 20th century. Handcrafted using vitreous enamel, a technique dating back to the 6th century BC in which colored pulverized glass particles were applied to metal and then fired in a 1500degree kiln. Each layer of color requires hundreds of firings, rendering the process not only timestaking, but also given to producing incredibly unique and one-of-a-kind creations.
