Rest in Peace to our beloved, precious Parker James Halgrave 🕊️
Beautifully born on 14.08.26 🤍✨

It is with shattered hearts we share the passing of our son. He fought a long hard battle until the end.

Thank you for the messages, gifts and flowers already sent our way. We feel deeply loved and supported.

We appreciate privacy and respect while we navigate this most challenging time of our lives.
So, whilst your messages and comments mean the world to us, they will likely go unanswered as we attempt to heal and move through this impossible experience.

Please, keep Parker in your hearts ❤️‍🩹

Today is not the Father’s Day I had ever imagined.

I looked forward to handmade mugs that leak, macaroni pictures and crayon drawings. Eventually turning into coffees together, bike rides, shared hobbies, talking shit and watching sport and motorsport together.

I imagined watching my little boy grow up. I imagined Father’s Day changing as he did.

But instead, today I celebrate Bereaved Father’s Day.

A day to remember the dads who have lost children, and all of the moments and Father’s Days we imagined we would have.

For me, today is for my son, Parker James, who passed away on the 15th of August.

Whether you’ve experienced loss or not, I’d love for you to find one small slice of joy today in memory of Parker.

Go for a walk. Enjoy some sunshine. Have a good coffee. Go for a drive. Light a candle. Take five minutes for yourself.

Whatever happiness looks like for you, find it and enjoy it.

You don’t need to be sad for Parker.
I’d much rather you be happy for him.

To the dads experiencing Bereaved Father’s Day, please look after yourselves. Talk to someone. Be angry. Cry. Laugh. There is no correct way to do this.

To everyone else, put a little good back into the world today. Help a stranger. Ask someone how their day is. Tell a mate you appreciate them.

If you have kids, hug them tight. Tell them you love them and you’re proud of them.

And if you’re not currently in their lives, maybe today is the day to put the ego and history aside and reach out.

You never know how many opportunities you’ll get to say “I love you.”

And to every dad carrying the memory of a child today:

They mattered.
They are remembered.
And so are you.

Happy Bereaved Father’s Day.

And if you can, have a little moment of happiness for my boy, Parker.

Celebrating the upcoming arrival of the greatest love of our lives, Parker James 🤍✨

@matthewhalden and I can’t thank our friends and family enough for the love and excitement you have all shown our baby boy before he is even here. Can’t wipe the smile off my face!

Favourite part is that we asked everyone to bring a book instead of a card and to write a message to him inside, his little collection is so sweet.
