Random appreciation post. ❤️

A few weeks ago, I hit what I genuinely thought was my lowest point personally.
It got so bad that my heart was racing like it was going to jump out of my chest. My body went into what felt like a state of shock. I couldn’t make sense of what was happening around me. I was physically present, but mentally, everything felt so disconnected. My ears were ringing. I genuinely thought I was having a heart attack.
I was driving at this point, and the first call I could think of was… this guy!

“Vinay, where are you?”
“Office.”
“Can you please come to the studio right now? I need you to hold me. Something is wrong.”

And that was it.
When I reached the studio, this guy was standing right at the door. Waiting for me.
No questions. No explanations needed. Just the tightest, warmest hug.
And I BROKE DOWN.

I cried like I hadn’t cried in a very long time. I don’t even know what was happening to me that day, but I knew that in that moment, I didn’t need advice. I didn’t need someone to fix my problems. I just needed someone to hold me while I fell apart.

And somehow, that hug made everything feel a little less heavy.
That’s what this guy is to me.
He doesn’t always have to fix what’s wrong. Sometimes, he just holds me until I feel okay again. ❤️

How many of us have clothes sitting in our closets that we’ve worn ONCE, maybe TWICE, and haven’t touched since?
Guilty? SAMEEEE!

Fast fashion comes at a HUGE cost to our planet. We keep buying, wearing, forgetting, and buying some more. And we end up creating SO much unnecessary waste.

Enter… THE CLOTHES SWAP! ❤️
Every year, @shifalijamwal_live2serve hosts this wonderful clothes swap at Live2Dance, and it’s genuinely one of my FAVORITE events!
The concept is SO simple. Bring clothes you no longer wear, swap them with someone else, and give those beautiful pieces a whole new life!
Less shopping. Less waste. More reusing. And a little less pressure on our planet.

I know an event like this isn’t going to solve the world’s environmental problems overnight. But small changes, when made collectively, can create a BIG impact.

And on another note… CAN WE TALK ABOUT HOW MUCH FUN THIS EVENT IS?! :)

A room full of women trying on each other’s clothes, hyping each other up, giving unsolicited fashion advice, and cheering like someone just walked the runway (true story every year)!

You literally walk in wearing one outfit and walk out wearing an ENTIRELY different one!

There’s something so beautiful about watching women come together, share what they have, and find joy in the simplest things.

Sustainability, sisterhood, and a whole lot of fashion madness. WHAT’S NOT TO LOVE?
