We’re inviting you to Seattle’s most chic clothes swap !

You can steal a gorgeous look (with permission! 😉), tidy up your closet, help the planet 🌳, and have fun with your friends—that’s a quadruple win! 🏆

Did you know? 🤯
It takes about 2,700 liters of water 💧 to make a single cotton shirt—that’s enough drinking water for one person for 2.5 years! And every second, the equivalent of one garbage truck of textiles is landfilled or incinerated globally.

The good news? ✨
There are already enough clothes in the world. We don’t need to buy new; we just need to swap! 🤝

Details:
Oct 11, 11am - 1pm at @live2danceseattle studio. The event is free to attend. Donations accepted and highly encouraged 🧡
All proceeds will be donated to charity. 🙏 Wait, did we just make this a quintuple win?! 🌟

See you Oct 11! 🤍

These piggies escaped their fate from slaughter houses and farms and found home at @pigspeace ! 😇

Every pig here is seen as the most important being - each of them have a name. They are no longer bacon, ham, pork chops, sausage...

They are happy, they are loved, they feel cared for. And yes, they recognize that because they are the 5th most intelligent animals on Earth! 🐽🤯

Thank you for organizing this @activism.wtf.seattle ❤️

Do you or your kiddo want to visit? Comment below and we'll set up a trip - will be the most fun day 🐖🐖 taken in Pigs Peace Sanctuary by @live2serveseattle

@sinhereinsta ‘s extremely talented dad wrote a poem that explains India’s diversity better than any textbook ever could 🇮🇳

Different languages. Different cultures. Different food. Different quirks. A little chaos, a LOT of opinions… and yet somehow, one heartbeat.

And that’s what makes India so incredibly beautiful

A billion differences. A billion stories. And still… home. 🇮🇳

This one made me laugh, smile, and feel a little extra proud of the beautiful, complicated, colorful country we come from. ❤️

Thank you uncle for this gem 🙏

To those who believe the Indian diaspora no longer has a voice in India simply because they moved away, here’s my humble response.

We carry India into rooms where it may otherwise never be seen, heard, or understood. Every time we earn a seat at a global table, we ensure India has a seat there too.

Some people spend their entire lives in India without ever working to preserve or promote its culture. Others leave the country, yet dedicate their lives to ensuring India is respected, represented, and celebrated across the world.

Who’s to say who’s more patriotic? 🙈🙏

3 years ago, we started working with the Seattle Police Department to help bridge the cultural gap between law enforcement and the Indian community.

Today, Indian culture is officially part of the SPD recruit training curriculum. Every new recruit now attends a session on our culture, traditions, values, and the immigrant experience as part of their training. On the fourth Monday of every month, I go to their training academy and sharing our stories.

Every time we leave the room with so much empathy and respect for each other. Today, an officer said, “I had no idea the emotions and immigration burden you all carry with you each day”

Today’s session was especially special. Everyone was engaged and the conversations naturally flew. I also got a chance to flaunt a little about our democracy and the recent win ❤️

Madhubala, an untold story….

Beyond the smile that lit up the silver screen was a woman of extraordinary grace, quiet resilience and a heart that loved deeply.

Last night, we had the privilege of bringing her story to life through music, memories and emotion ❤️

Why do we tell stories between songs?

Because sometimes, a story changes the way we hear the music.

A single moment of context can make a familiar melody feel entirely new. That’s why, at Soul Jam, storytelling and music aren’t separate, they are woven together to create one shared journey.

In this episode of One Minute with Soul Jam, we are sharing why every story matters just as much as every song. 🤍

📍 The Royal Room, Seattle

Has a story ever changed the way you experienced a song, a film, or a piece of art?

At Live2Serve, we believe in the power of Kala (Art & Culture) to preserve our heritage, celebrate Indian talent, and bring communities together. One of our core missions is to create meaningful platforms where artists can share their gifts and our culture can be experienced, appreciated, and celebrated.

With that vision in mind, we are incredibly proud to announce our next collaboration with Soul Jam.

Leading this beautiful evening is the exceptionally talented @thevoiceofyash , a rare musician who effortlessly wears many hats: singer, guitarist, sitar player, and vocalist. But beyond his versatility, it’s his soulful voice and ability to make you feel that truly sets him apart.

This time, Yash is joined by three equally phenomenal artists, @nikitasingh20_02 @amanmj95 and @yash_malpathak

Together, they bring Madhubala: The Shadows Behind the Spotlight to life, a captivating musical chronicle that goes beyond the silver screen to explore the poetry, grace, resilience, and humanity of one of Indian cinema’s most beloved icons.

Expect an intimate evening of live storytelling, raw acoustic music, timeless melodies, and heartfelt performances that will transport you to another era.

If you love Indian cinema, music, and stories that stay with you long after the curtains close, this is an evening you won’t want to miss.

Meet Milli 🥹❤️

A few days ago, Shifali found this little soul on the streets… a gentle, sweet senior dog (the vets believe she’s around 13–14), wandering alone, clearly not in good condition. She looked like she had been abandoned.

Without a second thought, Shifali brought her home… fed her, held her, comforted her… and gave her the safety she may not have felt in a very long time 💛
But the more we’re learning about her… the more our hearts are breaking.
Her body tells a story no one should have to live through.

One eye… barely there. No fur left on her body. No teeth.
And her belly… I don’t even have the words.
Tumors… so many of them… pushing out of her tiny frame, like her body has been crying for help for years 😭

Some of these tumors are the size of ping pong balls. On a body this small… imagine carrying ten of them.
Every step must hurt. Every sip of water must hurt.
And yet… she still looks at you with so much love.

Shifali has already taken her to the vet for vaccines, treatment for eye, and a full examination. The vet has identified 10 mammary tumors and concerning liver values.

Next steps include an abdominal ultrasound and x-ray to understand the extent of her condition… and possibly multiple surgeries. We don’t even know if her body will be able to handle it all.
What lies ahead - each surgery is estimated to cost around $3000, and every vet visit is approximately $700.

Yesterday, she had her first grooming session in years… but her little heart was so stressed that they had to stop midway, afraid she wouldn’t be able to handle it 💔

She has likely not had the life she deserved.
But we want to give her the comfort, care, and dignity she deserves now… in whatever time she has left.

We are raising funds to support her medical care: diagnostics, medications, treatments, and everything she will need moving forward.

If you can contribute in any way, it would mean the worl💛

We don’t know what lies ahead, but we do know is that she is no longer alone.

Thank you for helping us give her a chance at a life filled with love, even if it’s just for a little while ✨
