I'm deeply honored to be included in @differentleaf magazine.

The timing of this collection feels beautifully aligned with a new chapter of gatherings, parties, and community events I'll be offering and collaborating on in the coming weeks and months.

While the above words aren't part of the magazine, they reflect my heart and my love for music, movement, and the communities that continue to shape me.

Please pick up a copy of the magazine to celebrate this incredible collection of nightlife artists, and stay tuned for what's to come. I can't wait to share these next projects with you.

Jungle Fever is a dance floor ritual for those who chase rhythm and crave connection. Curated by @deedeedame and @hawx_rcc, the night slinks through Afro rhythms, Jungle, Drum & Bass, Bounce, House, and Disco Club sounds—a blaze of percussive grooves, hypnotic energy, and heavyweight bass built to move you. This is an invitation to let go, unleash the beat, and lose yourself in the collective pulse of the room. Come close, get curious, be ready to feel the heat of the night as two kindred selectors weave their sounds into one continuous, seductive groove.

DeeDeeDame (DeeDee Prescott Palacio) is a Kingston-based DJ, dancer, and community healer whose approach to music is rooted in joy, movement, and connection. For 13 years, she co-hosted and in 2024, served as a resident DJ at the coveted underground NYC party Wet Noise, bringing deep, 4-on-the-floor selections drawn from her Afro-Panamanian roots, her father's vinyl collection, and her formative Midwest rave days—because as a dancer first, DJ second, and mental health advocate last but not least, this national-winning Soul Dancer and certified Hypnotherapist believes the best sets are felt as much as they're heard, and her soul purpose remains fostering healing through joy, on the dance floor and by any means possible.

HAWX (Reuben Ullman) is a Hudson Valley OG and a music maestro building the region's underground House music culture one dance floor at a time. A vinyl-rooted selector with a decade-long weekly residency in the city behind him, he earned the respect of legendary underground DJs through patience, consistency, and deep musical knowledge. Since 2014, he's been curating immersive sets that prioritize feeling over trends, treating every mix as a conversation between sound and movement—because for HAWX, music isn't just meant to be heard, it's meant to be felt, every record carrying intention, every song a prayer, and every dance floor an opportunity to elevate the collective. by @deedeedame

Introducing a new party, In The Well, celebrating the vibrancy and resilience of Kingston's community alongside its wellness offerings. The inaugural edition, Body and Soul, aims to raise funds for the Body and Soul Community Clinic.

This clinic offers free or low-cost healthcare services to the local Black community, prioritizing compassion, equity, and holistic well-being in the tradition of the Black Panther Party's Free Clinics.

Services include free acupuncture, chakra oracle readings, and sound healing meditation, all designed to promote self-care and enhance the physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being of the community.

In The Well invites a diverse crowd to unite and boogie down while confronting the systemic injustices that seek to divide us. Let’s ensure our community remains In The Well—abundant, nourished, and protected! by @deedeedame
