Gonna tell my kids * (*nephew) this was SNL. Another @nightnightulsterco on the books. I’m so friggin’ lucky to get to play dress up with my funny friends! Also don’t @_ericalbrown_ & I look hot as Toni Braxton and Toni Collette for the Tony Parade Pageant Awards Parade? What a dream. Kingston is absolutely dripping with comedy and I couldn’t be more down to clown. See y’all next time!

DeeDee Dame for @differentleaf I first met DeeDee many years ago on the 718 Sessions dance floor at Santos—impossible to miss, with blue-and-black braids nearly to her knees and a presence entirely her own. I worked hard to earn her trust on that dance floor, and somewhere in all those hours of dancing, we became inseparable. She has been my trusted friend and sister ever since, on the dance floor and far beyond it. A dancer, DJ, and healer, DeeDee understands movement as release, resilience, connection, and return. She embodies so much of what this portrait series means to me: the extraordinary relationships that begin when we gather in a room to dance, and somehow become family.

Thirteen years of WET NOISE. What began in 2013 as a gathering around music, movement and one another is still here—still evolving, still returning, still finding its meaning in the people who keep showing up. In a time when so much feels fleeting, there is something profound about consistency. About building a dance floor slowly, year after year, and discovering that somewhere along the way it became a community. For our 13th anniversary, we took that dance floor onto the water. Tedd Patterson at the decks—generous, masterful and completely present. Our lighting designer shaping the night around us, our sound carrying the music across the harbor, Circle Line giving us a vessel, our hosts holding the room, and every dancer who came aboard bringing the thing none of us can manufacture: presence. WET NOISE has never simply been a party. It is the accumulation of nights, friendships, sweat, trust, music and memory. Thirteen years later, we are still here. Together. With deep gratitude to everyone who has carried it with us. Film thoughtfully shot & edited by Carty Caruso.

Jungle Fever is a dance floor ritual for those who chase rhythm and crave connection. Curated by @deedeedame and @hawx_rcc, the night slinks through Afro rhythms, Jungle, Drum & Bass, Bounce, House, and Disco Club sounds—a blaze of percussive grooves, hypnotic energy, and heavyweight bass built to move you. This is an invitation to let go, unleash the beat, and lose yourself in the collective pulse of the room. Come close, get curious, be ready to feel the heat of the night as two kindred selectors weave their sounds into one continuous, seductive groove. Friday, August 14th 7PM $10 ADV/ $15 DOORS -- DeeDeeDame (DeeDee Prescott Palacio) is a Kingston-based DJ, dancer, and community healer whose approach to music is rooted in joy, movement, and connection. For 13 years, she co-hosted and in 2024, served as a resident DJ at the coveted underground NYC party Wet Noise, bringing deep, 4-on-the-floor selections drawn from her Afro-Panamanian roots, her father's vinyl collection, and her formative Midwest rave days—because as a dancer first, DJ second, and mental health advocate last but not least, this national-winning Soul Dancer and certified Hypnotherapist believes the best sets are felt as much as they're heard, and her soul purpose remains fostering healing through joy, on the dance floor and by any means possible. HAWX (Reuben Ullman) is a Hudson Valley OG and a music maestro building the region's underground House music culture one dance floor at a time. A vinyl-rooted selector with a decade-long weekly residency in the city behind him, he earned the respect of legendary underground DJs through patience, consistency, and deep musical knowledge. Since 2014, he's been curating immersive sets that prioritize feeling over trends, treating every mix as a conversation between sound and movement—because for HAWX, music isn't just meant to be heard, it's meant to be felt, every record carrying intention, every song a prayer, and every dance floor an opportunity to elevate the collective.

It’s July already, and I haven’t even made the most of posting from May and June! Here’s a sweet collage of faces and places. Simple and sweet. Near and far.  Fun, laughter, and a moment that reminded me how precious and delicate life is. Just wanted to say thank you for the memories, friends. I’m not great at documenting my movements, but I’m always glad when I remember to capture a few moments along the way. Big love to all my friends, promoters, and everyone who made this spring turn into summer. From Naples, Italy to Brooklyn. From Battle Hymn to Wet Noise. From Detroit to San Francisco. I love my job so much. It just keeps giving. ❤️🙏

Went to a dinner party at @pocketbookhudson last night. It’s an incredible hotel and bathouse with gorgeous room, a delicious restaurant, amazing, artist studios, and it’s beautiful. It’s everything you want. All the Hudson hoi polloi were there. The highlight was a performance by @zsela_. I’ve been in awe of her got years. She just keeps getting more incredible. She performs in her own time which makes me trust her. Genuinely one of a beautiful kind. Thank you @pocketbookhudson for having me. It was a perfect way to celebrate the arrival of spring.
