There are some losses that just land a bit deeper. This one has been heart-crushing. With big love comes big grief.

You are gone from this physical realm. You were a light, a beacon of love and creativity for so many. Thank you for sharing your gifts with us all. This world suffered a loss with your passing but lucky for us you gave so much while you were here, and it endures.

Our 20 year friendship was filled with depth and joy right from the very start, and the love that grew over the years became the kind of undying bond that I will hold close for the rest of my days.

We talked about all of the things in life, our loves, failed relationships, plans and pursuits, our wounds and healing journeys, always the big stuff. I was honored you would come to me for male wisdom about things, and you offered me so much from your perspective. It was like a little gathering of cherished wisdom and love each time. The space was held so beautifully between us and by us, and no matter the time and distance that may have elapsed in the various seasons of our lives, we always would find our way back to a connection that was like home. I adored you and I know you adored me too. A friendship that lived in its own category. Whether it was dancing, having tea, going for a walk, or a wild road trip through Mexico with a bunch of your stuff and two little dogs, the time together was always the most generative and magical.

Getting the text from you telling me that you had stage four oviarian cancer with two months to live instantly gutted me, and at the same time I was overjoyed and honored to be invited in to that final leg of the journey with you.

And what a journey it was. Thank you God and the Universe for crossing our paths in this life. Grateful for all those in your family and close community who came together to surround you in love and devotion at the very end. One of the greatest honors in my life so far was being there with you, helping you along that final walk home.

Thank you for your love and friendship.

I don’t know if you know this, but in the world of broke, unsuccessful bands that not many people care about- there’s this PHENOMENON… whenever we attempt to record a live show, SOME kind of jinxy failure of equipment or communication or people ALWAYS happens somehow- & it never gets recorded. It’s Freaky!
I didn’t think Live albums were a thing anymore- but recently, a lot of people have been asking for a Live Floating Action album (this is true, i’m not doing that thing where bands possibly stretch the truth ‘so many people asked for this’😂).
Then we played at Eulogy 12/20/25, didn’t even ask or try for a recording, but the great sound engineer Jess Fox @storiesofastranger recorded the show, sent me the tracks, i mixed it onto cassette-
& now we have a Live album! Out today, streaming everywhere. Big thanks to Kyle @airloom.music for mastering it & getting it a’streaming! 🌸 taken in Eulogy by @deep.knowing.wellness

It’s holiday time of year, which along with the fun and celebration comes a litany of stressors and triggers that can wreak havoc on you emotionally and physically.
