On Thursday, August 13, Tucsonans responded to a national call to action to stop the Big Tech takeover in the form of data centers and AI cameras serving a surveillance state. They unfurled banners over the Congress St. bridge for rush hour traffic. The banners read, “We don’t need data centers, we don’t need Flock. Tell AI to go kick rocks!” as well as “Ban all AI cameras,” and “AI is watching.” Photos by @kathleendreierphoto taken in Tucson by @deflocktucson

Come out to the Mayor & Council meeting Wednesday, August 5 at 5:30pm and let them know we still don’t want large-scale data centers in the region! Wear red!

All of the documents from the planning process are here: https://bit.ly/cot-dc-zoning. The most relevant ones are Ordinance 12268, which is what they’ll vote on, and Attachment G, the geospatial analysis which shows us where it’ll be possible for developers to apply for with the new regulations in place. by @deflocktucson

✍🏽Keep South Tucson mass surveillance free!!

🗳️Vote for those who believe in protecting your 4th Amendment rights:

✅Roxanne Valenzula
✅Cesar Aguirre
✅Brian Flagg

❓Ask all candidates if they will uphold the cancelation of Flock and vote NO on AI surveillance contracts. Tell them mass surveillance does not equal safety!

🗺️Compare maps from Deflock.org and TucsonMigraMap.com… Automatic/augmented License Plate Readers (ALPRs) and all AI cameras are directly linked to the rise of incidents in South Tucson.
