Never thought brain surgery would be something I’d have to go through, but that’s the thing about life… we really never know what’s next or how fast things can change.

The last couple of weeks have taught me a lot. Mostly, just how incredibly grateful I am for my life.

For my family, my friends, my amazing community and my incredible jobs & the people I get to work with. For everyone that’s reached out, visited, brought meals and support, and every single person who has shown up for me. I don’t think I’ll ever be able to fully explain how much it has meant to me and I am so emotional even writing this.🤍

It’s crazy how something like this can make you grateful for even the things I used to complain about. The stressful days at work, tough runs or just when things didn’t go my way. I’m grateful I get to have those days. I’m grateful I get to move my body, to talk, to laugh, to work, to love people and be loved by them. I will never take it for granted & I am learning that slowing down is ok too (if you know me you know that’s very hard, ha!)

Through the obstacles of life and the hard shit, there is SO much good. And I feel so damn lucky for all of it.

I still have healing ahead of me, and I know there will be hard days & good ones. But I also know I’m going to be okay. And I have the best wife ever 🥹 @_melissahaight

I can’t wait to get back to @thegrindmpls and @endurance_dept & so beyond thankful for all their support during this time.

I’ll be honest, for a short 2 min I tried to look up some quote that related to how I felt but.. nahhh. That ain’t me.

I’m just genuinely so, so grateful that I get to do what I love, with people I love, in a place I love... and call it a job too?! THE GRIND. Cycle. Sculpt. This community. You all make me so happy.
