Our lovely Dell Lodge has some availability over the October holidays, a perfect chance to get away with your loved ones and soak up the beautiful autumnal feel of the Cairngorms.

With gorgeous forest walks on the doorstep, lots of local adventurous activities for the family and mountain backdropped lochs for cold refreshing dips, it's our favourite time of year here!

The Friday night Gather Inn will be running throughout October and our Dell Grocer is open Monday to Saturday with all the holiday treats you could ask for.

We think it’s about time for an old school Halloween Dance Party in the Tipi! Who's with us?

For those of you who graced the dancefloor over the big birthday weekend, you’ll remember the perfection of the tunes, so it only seems right to bring back the brilliant @thewook33

Tickets are limited and can be purchased in the bio link, so be quick!

Saturday 31st October 6-11pm, £8 adults.

No outfit, no entry! But free rein on theme and big prizes for best costumes!

This will also mark the change in season but this year it’s going to be a bit different...
The Gather Inn has been embedded in our hearts and it seems silly to stop for the season. This year we’re going to just keep going if and when we can. It’ll be smaller, less regular and very reliant on the weather / temperature but it feels like winter is perhaps when we all need it the most; connection, warmth and a weekly blether.

More on that to come soon.

Come and spend five days at The Dell immersed in good food, cheesemaking and the beautiful landscape of the Cairngorms.

I’ve designed this retreat around the way I love to cook and eat, making things from scratch, using good seasonal ingredients, sitting down for long lunches, sharing food with other people and taking the time to enjoy it.

We’ll make a variety of cheeses from scratch, from fresh cheeses, mozzarella and burrata to more traditional, longer-aged styles.

But this is about much more than cheesemaking. We’ll cook with what we make and explore delicious, unexpected ways to use the whole of the milk, from curds to whey.

Think rich tomato sugo, venison ragù bianco, polenta with wild mushrooms and buttermilk farmers cheese, whey sodas and focaccia made with whey, alongside mozzarella, burrata, stracciatella, butter, yoghurt and fresh cheeses.

There’ll be long lunches, seasonal suppers, forest walks, wild swims, time to explore the Cairngorms and evenings around the fire. Some days will be centred around cheesemaking and cooking; others will leave plenty of space to simply enjoy The Dell and take some time for yourself.

Spaces are intentionally limited to keep the experience small and intimate.
