POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

✨ I’ve been meaning for ages to work out how to use Shopify / build a webstore etc etc and for now, I’ve accepted I’m going to spend my time doing neither of those things ✨

✨ So if you’d like to buy a copy of my limited press poetry collaboration with the amazing illustrator and designer @tanya_cornish_design which were printed and Singer stitched in pink by the wonderful @earthbound.press please just drop me a DM and I’ll send you a purchase link ✨

✨ They have these gorgeous translucent end papers and every poem has its own illustration with a secret nod to one of the main characters in my book, Darkening Song… ✨

✨ We made these at a time in my life when I was feeling pretty creatively shackled in other areas so aside from being really beautiful, they are really meaningful to me - thank you so much Tanya 🙏♥️

✨ We’ve only pressed 100 and they’re £10 + P&P - you can also buy them in Books On The Wall in Chester and @gwisgobookworm in Aberaeron✨

✨✨ BOOK 2 COVER REVEAL ✨✨

🇺🇸 + 🇨🇦 cover for LUCA FOREVER

Love this cover so much @bookcoversbyoj you are amazing 🖤🙏🖤🙏

The seed of the idea for this story came from when I was in my early 20s, dancing on the beach at a full moon party in Thailand and the Hollywood A-lister I’d been obsessed with when I was a teenager walked past me. In a very surreal moment, he took hold of my hand and lead me off into the crowd and I always looked back on the experience and thought, is there such a thing as you meet a super famous guy and it all works out really well, or might you find yourself in the midst of something pretty dark…and it was from pondering this that the book was born…

But what’s at the heart of LUCA FOREVER:

💫 the power of female solidarity
💫 the closed cult of Hollywood
💫 the misinformation that extreme wealth = happiness
💫 the happily ever after is to be found within ourselves

Out in USA & Canada - June 2027. Watch this space 👀!

Darkening Song

“I’ve been reading this beautifully written book called ‘Darkening Song’ by Delphine Seddon and am really looking forward to chatting about it with her at Wilderness festival this coming Saturday.
It’s the story of a young girl and her female manager navigating fame and the male dominated music industry along their journey. Please come along to listen to us both talking about our own experiences within the industry.”
Sarah Cracknell

Sarah will be in Q&A with Delphine Seddon from 3pm at the Forum Stage at Wilderness Festival @ Cornbury Park this Saturday 1st August.

Join us at The Reader Bookshop for a special evening in conversation with Delphine Seddon to celebrate her debut novel, Darkening Song. Described as Daisy Jones & The Six meets Euphoria, Darkening Song is a fiercely feminist debut which follows the story of two young women; a teen star from Manchester failed by the music industry which made her an idol and her ambitious manager, forced to make an impossible choice between friendship and power. Soon to be adapted into a major TV series!

The event will feature a lively Q&A hosted by Sara–Louise Tareen from Liverpool’s much–loved Feminist Fiction Book Club.

📅Tuesday 22 September, 6.30pm

🎪 Wilderness 2026 - a huge honour and pleasure to have been in conversation with the iconic Sarah Cracknell of @saintetienneofficial and 2 x amazing solo albums ♥️

🎪 The theme was ‘Sisterhood In The Music Business’ which we did cover but also we just had a nice chat, and Sarah very kindly and beautifully read an extract of Darkening Song 📕

🎪 Then Saint Etienne performed on the Wilderness Stage and were as amazing as ever, good vibes all round 🎉

🎪 I found Sarah’s ‘say yes and work it out later’ approach to life v inspiring 🌱

📚 I absolutely love the Little Free Library Project - their ethos is centred around kindness, community, art and of course reading, all things we need more of in the world

📖 They are opening a new one this Saturday 25th July at Baythorne Hall and I’ve donated some copies of my debut novel Darkening Song

📘V sadly I couldn’t cut the red ribbon 🎀 with my giant scissors ✂️ as I’m at another event that day but please support it if you are in the area. It’s being stewarded by @morgansbutchery

📕And check them out at www.littlefreelibraryproject.co.uk

🙏♥️ xx
