Dalton pulled out the corn tortillas this morning and asked me to make chilaquiles like I run a Mexican restaurant. 😂 Then he asked for my grandma’s migas…a recipe she made for me when I was little and my mom makes today and she had recently told him about.

He may not look it, but there’s some Mexican in there somewhere. 🇲🇽❤️ And Grandma’s migas? He loved them. 🥹

We often get asked how all of this fits together, so here’s the story behind it.

🤎 DeMicheli Diaries is where it all started.

It’s our family page. A place to share our everyday life—the beauty, the challenges, dance recitals, baseball games, heart warrior life, travel, milestones, and the memories we’re making along the way.

⚾️ Desert Ball Club was born from that journey.

We wanted to create something for the people who understand that baseball is more than just a game. The people who know the score fades, but the memories don’t. The ones who find community at the ballpark, who pass traditions down to their kids, and who understand that some of life’s best moments happen between innings.

We’re getting closer to launch every day, and we’ve been fortunate to work alongside State Forty Eight to help bring that vision to life.

✨ Dalton’s Field of Dreams is our why.

After everything our family has experienced, we saw firsthand how much a single moment can mean to a child facing the unthinkable. A player interaction. A first pitch. A day where they get to feel like a kid instead of a patient.

That’s why we’re building Dalton’s Field of Dreams—to create once-in-a-lifetime baseball experiences for critically ill children and their families.

It’s still a process, and we’re taking it one step at a time, but we’re slowly turning this dream into a reality.

Three separate ventures.
One family.
One purpose.

All connected by baseball. All driven by love. 🤎

Still floating on cloud 9 after last night! @12newsaz captured the most unforgettable moment — Dalton’s surprise visit with the @dbacks and meeting his hero, @corbin.carroll . She was in there somewhere 😂 Had to reach deep and pull the Hispanic in me out for that bare-hand tortilla flip 💃🏽

All joking aside, that video of Dalton asking for chilaquiles and all your comments really got me thinking about embracing more of my Hispanic heritage.

Growing up, I never really felt like I fit in. When I’d tell kids at school I was half Hispanic, they’d laugh or not believe me, so eventually I just stopped bringing it up.

But I want my kids to know that part of our family. I want to learn to cook the things my mom and grandma made for me and my sisters and pass those memories and traditions down to them.

I think I have some catching up to do… but that tortilla flip was a start. 😂❤️

Help us find two families and fill two baskets 🤍⚾️

This October, Dalton’s Field of Dreams would love to support TWO families with children currently inpatient at Phoenix Children’s. We weren’t able to deliver a basket in September, so we’re hoping to give a little extra love this month.

We love doing this, but we can’t fund every basket on our own. If you or your business would like to donate items, contribute gift cards, or help sponsor a basket, please DM us. It all helps 🤍

3.5 million views later… Dalton’s been welcomed with open arms by all the tías and tíos, invited to the carne asada, and my DMs are full of recipes 🥹😂❤️

Meanwhile, I’m being told “just YouTube it” and my migas breakfast got called “Temu chilaquiles.” 😭🤣 I had to address the comments because y’all have me crying laughing! Also, my kids are 1/4 Mexican American so HA!! and also, we will be making chilaquiles this weekend! Wish me luck!
